We are a registered provider and can assist you in claiming for medical aid approved devices from CAMAF. We do have a payment arrangement with CAMAF, and can submit to them directly.
As a CAMAF member, you automatically benefit from a 10% discount on any copayment.
How it Works
CAMAF provides coverage for breast pumps and baby breathing (apnoea) monitors as part of your maternity benefits.
You can claim on your maternity benefit from 3 months before your estimated due date, to 6 months after baby’s birth date.

What devices can I claim for?
You can claim for approved breast pumps, baby apnea monitors, thermometers, humidifiers, nebulizers, and other NAPPI-coded devices. These devices are verified by SAHPRA and have undergone a certification process. Note that you will need a prescription from your doctor to claim for a humidifier or nebulizer.
Do I need to pay upfront?
No, you do not need to pay upfront.
If you have paid for your order upfront, we will submit it to CAMAF as a paid claim, and they will reimburse you directly.
How do I know which devices will be covered by CAMAF?
Each product page features a flag indicating if the device is medical aid-approved. These devices are NAPPI-coded and can be claimed from your scheme.

How early in my pregnancy can I submit a claim to CAMAF?
The earliest you can submit a claim is from 3 months before the estimated due date.
The latest you can submit a claim is from 6 months after your baby’s birth date.
How long does this process usually take?

Do I need a script from my doctor to claim?
You do not need a script for a breast pump, baby apnea monitor, or thermometer. However, for other devices such as nebulisers and humidifiers, you will need to provide a prescription.
Are there any fees or extra costs for claiming?
There are absolutely no extra fees or hidden costs when claiming.
How does the 10% copayment discount work?
CAMAF applies limits to claims for breast pumps and monitors. You are welcome to order an item that costs more than your limit. The difference between the price and the limit is your copayment.
As a CAMAF member, you automatically get 10% off that copayment. This is applied automatically once CAMAF processes the claims.
Can I order non-approved items in the same order?
Yes, you can. We will simply send you an email with payment instructions for the non-approved items.
I am having twins! Can I get a baby apneoa monitor for each baby?
Yes!
If you are having twins or triplets, then CAMAF will cover a monitor for each baby. You will need to reach out to them to ensure that they update your limits and coverage first. Then, we will submit a claim. The first claim will be in your name, and any subsequent claim will be in your babies’ names.
