Delivery, sorted.

We’re committed to getting your order to you quickly, and hassle-free. While we do carry a lot of stock in our store, we do sometimes have to order in from suppliers.

Processing Time

If this item is in stock, it’s processed within 2 hours, often much quicker.

If this item needs to come in from our supplier, it usually takes 3-5 days for us to receive it. As soon as it arrives, we’ll pack your order and prep it for delivery.

Once your order is packed, it’s immediately booked with one of our courier partners. From there, delivery usually takes a couple days:

More About Timelines

Timelines are estimates, based on our averages and couriers’ commitments. We always aim to get your order to you quicker than this — but they’re not a guarantee. Wherever your order is in the journey, we’ll keep you updated every step of the way.

Returns Made Easy

Unfortunately, we can’t accept returns on this product once it’s been opened. This is usually because:

  • It’s a hygiene or sanitary product
  • It’s single-use
  • It’s a final sale or clearance item

If there’s a defect or fault, though, it’s always covered as a warranty claim.

If the item is still unopened, you can return it within 30 days of receiving it. Just request a return from your account or through our chat, and we’ll handle the rest.

Returns are always free within 7 days. After that, if you’re returning it because you’ve changed your mind, you may need to cover the return cost. You can send it back yourself, or we can arrange a courier and give you an upfront quote — direct from the courier. If your return is for any other reason, it’s free.

The Sophie la girafe Original Teether is a soft, flexible natural rubber teether designed for an awake baby to grasp, squeeze and chew as teeth begin moving through the gums. First created in France in 1961, this instantly recognisable giraffe has a slim shape and long limbs that give tiny hands plenty to hold onto, along with a gentle squeak and textured surfaces that turn a simple chew into a bit of sensory play.

Because she's lightweight and bendy, baby can bring her to their mouth easily and reach different parts to chew — the ears, horns and legs all give something a little different to explore. The bumpy head and legs are designed to help soothe sore, teething gums, while the dark, contrasting spots give young eyes something to focus on. Suitable from 0 months, she's a familiar first companion long before the first tooth appears.

Made for little hands and busy mouths

Sophie is made from 100% natural rubber, tapped from the sap of the hevea tree, and finished with food-grade paint. She's BPA- and phthalate-free, so she's built for exactly what babies do with a new toy — bite it, chew it and squeeze it. Her slender, flexible body is easy to grip, and the varied textures across her head, ears, horns and legs offer plenty of chewing surfaces for gums that need a little distraction.

Gentle sensory exploration

There's more going on here than chewing. A soft squeak sounds when she's squeezed, which invites baby to make the connection between a squeeze and the sound that follows — an early game of cause and effect. Paired with the high-contrast spots to look at and the different textures to feel, she offers a mix of sight, sound and touch to explore during supervised playtime.

How to use

Let baby squeeze and chew Sophie to help soothe sore gums during teething. She's intended for awake, supervised use — keep her out of the cot and the infant sleep space, and check her over regularly for any cuts, splits or damage, replacing her if you spot wear.

Sophie arrives in a white gift box with a personalisation card, which makes her an easy choice as a new-baby or baby-shower gift.
