The Snuza Pico 2 Movement Monitor with App is a portable, wearable movement monitor that clips onto your baby's nappy or elasticated pants and keeps track of their movement while they sleep. Made by Snuza, a South African baby-tech company, it can be used on its own as a stand-alone device or paired with the Snuza Connect app so you can see real-time information and receive alerts on your smartphone.

How it works

• Movement detection: The Pico 2 uses sensitive movement-detection technology while your child sleeps, with enhanced detection on this version that is designed to reduce false alarms.
• Gentle pre-alert vibration: If no movement is detected for 15 seconds, the device activates a gentle vibration intended to rouse your baby.
• Audible alarm: If movement still hasn't resumed after a further 5 seconds (20 seconds in total), an audible alarm sounds so you can respond and check for any potential concerns.

Connect through the Snuza Connect app

Pairing the Pico 2 with the Snuza Connect app unlocks real-time information, adjustable settings, and alerts sent straight to your phone. It connects using Bluetooth Low Energy, an ultra-low power technology, and works with both Android and iOS devices. From a single smartphone you can monitor up to four children, which is helpful if you have more than one little one to keep an eye on. The app also gives you insights into alerts and sleep patterns over time.

Everyday practicality

The Pico 2 is rechargeable and comes with a charging cradle, and the built-in lithium-ion battery has an expected lifespan of up to 3 years. It's made from baby-safe materials — medical-grade plastic, silicone, and gold-plated nickel — and is free from BPA, phthalates, lead, and latex. To clean it, simply wipe it with a damp cloth.
