A note on safe use

Whichever carrying position you use, keep baby high and upright, close enough to kiss, with their face always visible and their chin off their chest so the airway stays clear. Check the fit is snug and monitor baby throughout — this is especially important for newborns, premature or low-birth-weight babies, and any baby with limited head control or breathing concerns, where it's worth speaking to your healthcare provider first. Babies often fall asleep while carried; a carrier isn't a routine sleep space, so move baby to a firm, flat sleep surface as soon as it's safe and practical to do so.
