The Pigeon SofTouch T-Ester Bottle is a wide-neck newborn bottle made from T-Ester, an innovative plastic exclusive to Pigeon that offers a glass-like clarity so you can easily see how much milk is left and how your baby is feeding. Part of Pigeon's SofTouch™ range, it pairs that clear, lightweight body with an extra-soft teat, making it a practical everyday bottle for expressed milk or formula from birth.

SofTouch™ is built around Pigeon's long-running research into how babies feed at the breast. The teat is designed to functionally mimic the feeding movements a baby makes while breastfeeding, and it carries a research-based Latch-on Line to guide where a baby latches on the teat. That focus is aimed at supporting parents who move between breast and bottle, so feeds can feel more consistent whichever way you're feeding on the day.

A teat designed for newborns

This bottle comes with an SS-size teat, the softest, slowest option in the SofTouch™ flow ladder and specifically designed for newborn babies. The opening is round-cut so milk flows out consistently and gradually rather than in a rush. Because newborns have yet to develop their jaw muscles, the teat is shaped to support their sucking ability at this early stage. It is suitable from 0 months and up.

How it works

• Soft, breast-like teat: The extra-soft teat is designed to resemble the feel of a mother's breast, which is intended to help babies who feed both ways settle into either.
• Latch-on Line: A research-based guideline on the teat helps encourage an appropriate latch during feeds.
• Advanced air vent system: The anti-colic vent is designed to minimise the air a baby swallows as they drink, provided the bottle is correctly assembled so the vent opens.
• T-Ester body: The material has a glass-like clarity for easy monitoring and a high resistance to UV degradation, which makes it suitable for UV sterilisers where many plastic bottles are not.

How to use

1. Before first use and after every use, wash all parts thoroughly and sterilise them.
2. Insert the teat into the top of the bottle cap/collar.
3. Press down firmly to check the teat is secure and sits evenly.
4. Press to make sure the air ventilation system opens.
5. Screw the collar onto the bottle.

The bottle can be sterilised by boiling or steaming (5 minutes once the water has come to a boil), by chemical sterilisation, by microwave sterilisation, or by UV sterilisation. When using chemical or UV methods, follow the instructions supplied with your steriliser.
