The Pigeon SofTouch PP Nursing Bottle 160ml is a lightweight, wide-neck baby bottle designed for newborns and small, frequent feeds. It holds up to 160ml of expressed milk or formula and comes with an SS-size teat, making it a practical starter bottle for the early weeks. Part of Pigeon's SofTouch™ wide-neck system, it's shaped to suit parents who move between breast and bottle and want a bottle that's easy to hold and easy to clean.

The teat is where much of the thinking sits. Its round-cut opening is designed to let milk flow out gradually and consistently, and the soft, flexible silicone is designed to feel closer to the breast. Because newborns haven't yet developed jaw strength, the SS-size teat is shaped to support their sucking ability at this stage, together with a Latch-on Line and a gently curved teat form intended to help baby settle into a good latch.

Materials and safety

The bottle is made from durable, lightweight polypropylene (PP) that includes 20% bio-based plastic (Biomass-PP), certified under the International Sustainability and Carbon Certification (ISCC) mass-balance scheme. It is BPA- and BPS-free, so it's suitable for holding breast milk and formula.

How to use

Wash thoroughly and sterilise before first use and after every use. To assemble:

  1. Insert the teat into the top of the bottle cap/collar.
  2. Press down firmly to check the teat is secure and sits evenly.
  3. Press to make sure the air-ventilation system opens.
  4. Screw the collar onto the bottle.

Rinse promptly after feeds, sterilise daily, and replace any teat that shows thinning, cracks or discolouration to keep things hygienic.
