The Pigeon SofTouch Glass Nursing Bottle 160ml is a wide-neck glass baby bottle built around Pigeon's SofTouch teat, designed to help babies move between breast and bottle using a similar sucking motion. It's a good fit if you're combination feeding — expressing and bottle-feeding alongside breastfeeding — and want a glass bottle that holds up to 160ml of expressed breast milk or formula.
SofTouch is Pigeon's wide-neck feeding system, and the bottle sits within it: the broad, curved teat and research-based latch-on line are designed to support a good latch, so the transition between breast and bottle feels more familiar for your baby. Backed by over 60 years of research into how babies naturally suckle, the range was upgraded in 2022 with a softer teat and refined latch-on line.
Designed around baby's natural sucking motion
The SofTouch teat is shaped to functionally mimic the movements a baby makes while feeding at the breast, which is what makes it suited to parents feeding from both breast and bottle. The wide neck and gentle curved teat shape, together with the latch-on line, are designed to support how your baby latches on.
An anti-colic vent system
The bottle uses an advanced air-vent system that is designed to help minimise the air your baby swallows during a feed. Anti-colic here describes the design intention — how the vent manages air as your baby drinks — rather than a promise of preventing colic for every baby.
Why glass
The glass bottle body is easy to see through for checking volume and residue, resists odour and staining over time, and stands up to repeated washing and sterilising. Glass is heavier than plastic, which is worth keeping in mind for handling and for the stage when your baby starts to hold the bottle.
The teat it comes with, and adjusting flow
This bottle comes with an M-size teat suited to babies from around 3 months, a stage at which many babies have developed some jaw movement and can suckle to draw milk. As your baby's feeding changes, age-adjustable SofTouch wide-neck teats are available to buy separately, so you can move up the flow range without replacing the whole bottle.
How to use
- Before first use and after every use, wash the bottle and teat thoroughly and sterilise.
- Insert the teat into the top of the bottle cap/collar.
- Press down firmly to check the teat is secure and sitting evenly.
- Press to make sure the air-ventilation system opens.
- Screw the collar onto the bottle.
