  • Replace sooner if you can see a small hole between the two flaps, or if your pump seems to have lost suction — a hole means the valve can't hold the vacuum as well during a session.

Caring for your valve

A little care goes a long way towards extending the life of each valve:

  1. Do not wash it in the dishwasher.
  2. Wash in hot, soapy water using a clean brush.
  3. Allow it to dry fully before reassembling your pump.
