The Medela Quick Clean™ Microwave Bags are a convenient, reusable way to steam-sanitise compatible breast pump parts and feeding accessories in the microwave. Designed for parents who want a quick and practical sanitising solution without taking up the space of a traditional steam steriliser, each bag can be reused up to 20 times, giving you up to 100 sanitising cycles from the 5-pack.

Compact and easy to store, the bags fold flat when not in use and are particularly handy for smaller spaces, travel, work or a hospital bag. Simply add 60 ml of clean water, place your clean, disassembled microwave-safe parts inside, seal the bag and heat according to your microwave's wattage. In a 1100 W+ microwave, the sanitising cycle takes as little as 90 seconds.

How it works

Cleaning and sanitising

Quick Clean™ Microwave Bags are designed to sanitise parts that have already been washed and rinsed. Place the clean, disassembled, microwave-safe parts into the bag with 60 ml of water and follow the heating time recommended for your microwave wattage: 1.5 minutes at 1100 W+, 3 minutes at 800–1100 W or 5 minutes at 500–750 W. Allow the bag and contents to cool before carefully handling them, as the water and steam will be hot.

The bags are suitable for compatible breast pump parts, bottles, teats, dummies and cups that are microwave-safe. They should not be used with breast pump tubing, and items that are not microwave-safe should not be placed inside the bag.
