Maxi-Cosi Indigo Plus Bath

The Maxi-Cosi Indigo Plus Bath is a baby bath and newborn insert designed to cover bathtimes from day one and through your little one's first four years. It brings together the parts of the bath-time routine that first-time parents tend to worry about most — supporting a small, slippery newborn, judging the water temperature, and finding somewhere to store a bulky bath afterwards — into one setup you can put together in two steps.

For the newborn stage, the included QuickDry insert cradles baby in a more upright, ergonomic position while the water passes through the fabric to keep them in contact with the warm water. As your baby grows, the insert comes out and they can sit and splash in the bath itself, cushioned by a soft anti-slip pad. A built-in HighSense thermometer takes the guesswork out of temperature, and the flat-folding frame with a retractable hanging hook makes drying and storing it straightforward.

A bath that adapts as your baby grows

Indigo Plus is suitable from birth to approximately 4 years when used on the floor, or from birth to approximately 15 months when paired with the Indigo Bath Stand (sold separately). The QuickDry newborn insert is included, and once your baby outgrows it, the bath continues to work for a sitting baby and toddler. Setting up is a two-step job: unfold the two legs, then press on the middle to open the bath. Anti-slip pads under each leg help it stay stable once it's set up on the floor.

How the QuickDry insert and HighSense thermometer work

• QuickDry newborn insert: Independent buckles and soft fixing straps secure the insert firmly to the edges of the bath, and you can adjust its height above the water to control your baby's position. The fabric lets water pass through so baby stays in contact with the warm water, and it dries quickly for use again the next day.
• HighSense thermometer: Integrated into the base of the bath, it measures the water where it's warmest at the bottom, rather than at the surface where contact with the air makes readings less accurate. Tap the screen and wait a few seconds for a reading.
• Colour temperature guide: The screen shows blue for too cold (below 35°C), green for just right (35°C – 38°C), and red for too hot (above 39°C), so you can read it at a glance.
• Rechargeable power: The thermometer runs on a rechargeable battery via an included USB-C cable — about 130 days in standby, roughly 5 hours in working mode, and about 25 minutes to fully charge with a 5V 4A charger. It works instantly by tapping the screen out of the box.

Folds flat for easy storage

When bath-time is over, turn the bath upside down and push on the underside to fold it flat (H 24 cm in use, folding down to H 10 cm, with an in-use footprint of L 86 x W 51 cm and a weight of 2.47 kg). A retractable hanging hook at the bottom lets you hang it on a sturdy fixing that can support its weight, so it can drip-dry and store in a dry place. The smooth surfaces wipe clean with soap and a damp cloth, and the QuickDry insert is machine washable at 30°C on a delicate cycle — air dry it in a well-ventilated area rather than in the tumble dryer.

Best For

The Maxi-Cosi Indigo Plus Bath is a great option for parents who:

• Want one bath that works from newborn through to the toddler years
• Would like a newborn insert included from the start rather than bought separately
• Value a built-in thermometer to help judge water temperature
• Need a bath that folds flat and hangs up in a smaller bathroom or flat

It may not be the best fit if you:

• Are looking for a bath that comes with a stand — the Indigo Stand is sold separately

Disclaimer

Your baby should never be left unsupervised when using Indigo Plus. The anti-slip pad and stable base support positioning and setup, but no bathing aid replaces hands-on adult supervision — always stay within arm's reach with a hand on your baby.
