Maxi-Cosi Fame Travel System

The Maxi-Cosi Fame Travel System is a three-in-one travel system built to move your child from birth to around four years old with as little lifting and re-buckling as possible. It pairs the Fame stroller with the Fame carrycot and the Pebble 360 Pro infant car seat, so you have a lie-flat newborn sleep mode, a car-to-pavement carrier and a seated stroller mode all working from the same frame. The carrycot and car seat clip onto the chassis using the adapters supplied in the box, which makes swapping between modes part of the everyday routine rather than a project.

The Fame stroller

The Fame stroller takes a child from birth to 22 kg (roughly four years). It offers three recline positions including a full lie-flat setting, plus an adjustable leg rest, so a newborn can travel flat and an older toddler can sit up. An easy-in harness with a magnetic buckle makes getting a wriggling child in and out simpler, and ClimaFlow mesh in the seat is designed to help regulate temperature through the year — genuinely useful in the South African heat. Over the wheels you get CosiCruise suspension and puncture-proof rubber tyres for smoother rides on mixed surfaces, a large UPF 50+ canopy for sun cover, a 10 kg shopping basket, an adjustable pushbar, and memory buttons to speed up setup. The Fame carrycot

The Fame carrycot supports a lying position for a newborn from birth to 9 kg (around 0–6 months). It has a spacious interior with a reversible, breathable memory-foam mattress and a ventilation window to help keep baby at a comfortable temperature. Its integrated SoothingSlope lets you pull a strap to gently raise baby into an inclined position, which is designed to help minimise reflux. The Close2Me feature lets you adjust the carrycot height up or down on the frame, so placing baby in and out is easier on your back — it carries AGR certification as back-friendly, using SlideTech technology.

The Pebble 360 Pro car seat

The Pebble 360 Pro is an i-Size compliant infant car seat for babies from 40–80 cm and up to 13 kg (around 0–18 months). It installs in the vehicle via the seatbelt or an ISOFIX base, and the ISOFIX base uses visual indicators to help confirm a correct fit. Safety features include a G-CELL Side Impact Protection system and impact-absorbing materials meeting i-Size standards, and the seat has been awarded a 4-star ADAC rating for its Side Protection System. Inside, a removable newborn inlay gives a snug fit, and the machine-washable cover is made from 100% recycled polyester. Used with the FamilyFix 360 Pro base (sold separately), the seat rotates 360° for easier buckling and offers a rearward-facing lock for safer positioning up to 15 months. The Pebble 360 Pro clips onto the Fame frame with the car seat adapters for short trips, and it is approved for air travel.

Moving between modes

For a newborn you can travel flat in the carrycot or road, or use the car seat for the car and short transfers. Maxi-Cosi advises using the carrycot as long as you can, up to a maximum of 9 kg, and moving baby to the harnessed seat unit as soon as they can rotate or pull themselves upright. From there the stroller seat carries your child through to 22 kg.
