Goes great with ...
  • Multi-sensory play: Bright colours, contrasting patterns, varied textures and crinkle sounds give baby plenty to explore in one toy.
  • Easy to hold: The soft, flat manta-ray shape is designed for little hands to grab, squeeze and shake.
  • Made for the go: At just 20 g and 15 mm deep, Monty tucks easily into a nappy bag or travels along in the pram or car.
  • Textures to discover: Textured fabric, satin ribbons and a silicone teether offer different things to feel and mouth.
  • Sound feedback: Built-in crinkle sounds reward a squeeze or a shake with a bit of cause and effect.
  • Suitable from birth: Rated for birth and up, so it can join baby from the early days.
  • Visual stimulation: The bold, contrasting design gives newborns something to focus on and track.

The Lamaze Monty The Monta Ray Crinklies is a flat, easy-to-hold sensory toy designed to give baby plenty to look at, feel and listen to — both at home and on the go. Shaped as a friendly manta ray, this soft crinkle toy combines bright colours, contrasting patterns, different textures and interesting sounds in one lightweight fabric friend, making it a handy first toy from birth and up.

The appeal here is the mix of things to explore in one place. Bright colours and contrasting patterns give your baby something to focus on visually, while the varied textures, satin ribbons, crinkle sounds and silicone teether invite little hands to grab, squeeze and mouth. It's the kind of toy a baby can come back to again and again as they move from watching and reaching to grasping and shaking.

A flat design made for life on the move

Monty's slim, flat shape is what sets these Crinklies apart from bulkier soft toys. Measuring 245 mm high, 200 mm wide and just 15 mm deep and weighing only 20 g, he tucks easily into a nappy bag, clips onto a pram-side pocket of your own choosing, or comes along in the car without taking up space. That makes him an easy grab-and-go option when you want a familiar toy on hand outside the house.

Textures and sounds to explore

Made from textured fabric with satin ribbons, built-in crinkle sounds and a silicone teether, Monty offers a few different sensory experiences in a single toy. The crinkle sound rewards a squeeze or a shake, the ribbons and fabric give varied things to feel, and the silicone element adds a firmer surface for little ones who like to bring things to their mouth.

Best For

The Lamaze Monty The Monta Ray Crinklies is a great option for parents who:

  • Want an easy-to-hold first sensory toy suitable from birth
  • Are after a lightweight, flat toy that travels well in a nappy bag or pram
  • Like the idea of colour, texture and sound combined in one soft friend
