  • Handcrafted in South Africa: Made from durable materials by a South African brand.
  • Decorative Too: Doubles as a warm design feature in a nursery or play space.

The Kiani Wooly the Sheep Wall Activity Board is a handcrafted, wall-mounted activity board that turns a stretch of wall into a dedicated play and early-learning corner. Shaped like Wooly the Sheep, it brings together spinning gears, sliding beads, touchable textures and simple manipulatives on one fixed board, giving babies and toddlers a set of hands-on activities to explore at their own pace. Because it mounts to the wall rather than sitting on the floor, it invites upright, screen-free play without taking up floor space.

Each interactive element is securely attached to the board, and the variety of textures, motions and sounds is designed to hold a curious child's attention. Rather than directing play, the board offers an open invitation to touch, turn, slide and problem-solve, giving little ones room to practise fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination and focus as they play.

What makes it different

This is a Montessori-inspired activity board that lives on the wall, so it doubles as a decorative feature in a nursery or play area while it's not in use. It's handcrafted in South Africa from durable materials, and comes with pre-drilled holes for straightforward, secure wall mounting.

The play it invites

  • Sensory exploration through varied textures, motions and sounds
  • Cause and effect with spinning gears and sliding beads
  • Fine motor and hand-eye coordination practice through small manipulatives
  • Independent, self-paced play that gives children space to concentrate and problem-solve

Best For

The Wooly the Sheep Wall Activity Board is a great option for parents who:

  • Want a screen-free activity that encourages independent, upright play
  • Are short on floor space and prefer a wall-mounted play feature
  • Like the idea of a piece that works as both a toy and a decorative element
  • Are drawn to handcrafted, locally made toys

Pandylane Pro Tip

Mount the board at your child's standing or seated eye level so they can reach every element comfortably, and fix it firmly into a solid wall or studs given its 5 kg weight. As with any activity board, keep play supervised.
