Goes great with ...
  • Two ways to play: Use it as a free-rolling tractor or as a buildable set to take apart and reassemble.
  • Working toy drill: The battery-powered drill and two bits let toddlers loosen and tighten the pieces themselves.
  • 16-piece set: Includes 13 Johnny Tractor pieces plus the power drill and its bits.
  • Chunky, grippable parts: Designed to be easy for little hands to hold and assemble.
  • Invites problem-solving: Building and rebuilding gives toddlers a chance to practise hand-eye coordination and figure out how the pieces fit.
  • Officially licensed: Carries recognisable John Deere tractor styling in classic green and yellow.
  • Age guidance: Suitable for children aged 18 months and up.

The John Deere Kids Build a Johnny Tractor is a take-apart and rebuild toy that gives toddlers two ways to play: a free-rolling tractor to push around, or a buildable set they can dismantle and put back together with a working toy drill. It's a hands-on twist on classic farm play, made for little ones who love to fiddle, unscrew and figure out how things fit.

This 16-piece set is built around chunky parts that are easy for little hands to grip and assemble, and it comes with a battery-powered toy drill and two bits to loosen and tighten the pieces. Officially licensed by John Deere, it carries the recognisable green-and-yellow tractor styling that makes it a familiar, playful gift for farm-loving toddlers.

Two ways to play

Children can push the completed tractor along the floor for straightforward roll-and-go play, or slow down and take it apart piece by piece with the drill, then rebuild it from scratch. That flexibility means it works both as a quick, satisfying activity and as a longer, focused building session — and it invites plenty of repetition as they master which piece goes where.

Made for little hands

The set is made up of 13 Johnny Tractor pieces plus a power drill with two bits — chunky, toddler-friendly components designed to be easy to hold and slot together. Working the drill and matching each part to its place gives toddlers a chance to practise their grasp, hand-eye coordination and problem-solving as they build.

Best For

The John Deere Kids Build a Johnny Tractor is a great option for parents who:

  • Want a build-and-rebuild toy that grows into repeated play rather than a one-off activity
  • Are looking for a hands-on gift for a toddler who enjoys tinkering and taking things apart
  • Like the idea of chunky pieces suited to little hands

It may not be the best fit if you're shopping for a child under 18 months, or if you'd prefer a toy with no small or detachable parts.

Disclaimer

Suitable for children aged 18 months and up. Requires batteries for the toy drill. As with any toy containing small or detachable parts, keep it within the recommended age range and supervise play.
