It pairs the soft silicone Fresh Food Feeder with a Mini Nibble Tray, so you can freeze small, ready-to-serve portions and pop one into the feeder whenever your little one needs it.

The feeder pouch is made from soft, chewable silicone with small holes that let only tiny, digestible pieces of food pass through, which is useful when your baby is first learning to self-feed with purées, mashed foods, soft fruit or frozen breast milk. It's a practical starting-solids tool for exploring flavour and texture at your baby's own pace, with a chilled option for tender gums along the way.

How it works

  • Soft feeder pouch: The silicone pouch has small holes that allow only tiny, digestible pieces through, so your baby can suck and gum at food as they learn to feed.

How to use

Using the Fresh Food Feeder
  1. Insert the pouch down through the attachment ring, with the top edges sitting securely and flat inside the ring.
  2. Add soft or frozen food inside the pouch, then press the feeder lid tightly onto the attachment ring.
  3. Let your baby explore the food independently, and cover the pouch with the cap when it's not in use.
  4. To disassemble, use your thumb to pry up the bottom edge of the lid, then pull down the top edge of the attachment ring.
Using the Mini Nibble Tray
  1. Add breast milk, purées or other favourites into each tray compartment.
  2. Place the lid on and put the tray into the freezer.
  3. Once frozen, pop out a portion to place into your Fresh Food Feeder.
  4. Assemble the feeder and give it to your baby for some cooling relief.

Please note: do not heat food while it is inside the feeder, including in a microwave or oven. Always mix any pre-heated food to avoid hot spots and check the temperature before feeding.

Cleaning and care

The whole set disassembles fully, so there are no hidden spaces for bacteria to build up. Before first use, take the product apart, clean it, and place the silicone components in boiling water for 5 minutes to sterilise. Wash before and after each use. It is dishwasher safe, though Haakaa recommends hand washing with warm, soapy water and rinsing thoroughly, using only a soft-bristle brush or soft sponge to avoid scratching the surface.

To sterilise after use, use a steam steriliser or boil the silicone parts for 2–3 minutes; the PP cap should be boiled for no longer than 2–3 minutes. Avoid bleach-based cleaners or sterilising tablets. Silicone can absorb the colour of some foods, so washing straight after use helps minimise discolouration. The Nibble Tray's loop and the shape of the feeder handle make hang-drying easy, and the feet on the cap let the feeder stand upright for storage. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and sharp objects.
