The ergoPouch Baby Cot Tuck Sheet (Grey Marle) is a TOG-rated, firm-fitting mattress sleeve designed as a blanket alternative for babies from birth. Rather than adding a loose blanket to the sleep space, this newborn tuck sheet slips over the mattress and zips up over your baby to give a gentle, tucked-in feel — a settling option for little ones who like the security of being snug during sleep.
It's made to work alongside your baby's usual sleepwear, layering over the top of a Cocoon Swaddle Bag or Sleeping Bag. Each side carries its own TOG rating, so you flip the sheet to adjust warmth, and the four-way zip lets you set two levels of firmness to suit your baby's size and the strength of their startle reflex. A Bedding Temperature Guide is included in the pack to help you match sleepwear, layers and TOG to your room.
How it works
- Two TOG-rated sides: The 1.0 TOG side offers a firmer feel and a warmer layer for moderate-temperature rooms, while the 0.2 TOG side gives a lighter feel for warm rooms — simply flip the sheet to switch.
- Four-way zip: The zips let you adjust to two levels of firmness (tightness), so you can find a comfortable fit as your baby grows or if their startle reflex is stronger.
- Tucked-in design: Because it fits firmly over the mattress, the tuck sheet is designed so it cannot become untucked, cannot be pulled up near baby's face, and is not classified as loose bedding. If your baby works their legs free, it simply lies flat on the mattress.
- A comfort option for non-swaddlers: Newborns who don't like to be swaddled may find the firmness of the tuck sheet comforting in place of sleeping with their arms in.
Materials and fabric
The tuck sheet is made from GOTS certified organic cotton and bamboo viscose — breathable natural fibres with a super-stretchy, adjustable fit. The 1.0 TOG side is 55% bamboo viscose, 40% organic cotton and 5% elastane, while the 0.2 TOG side is 95% organic cotton and 5% elastane. It is also non-toxic certified and skin friendly.
How to use
- Slip the tuck sheet over the end of your baby's mattress. Choose the 0.2 TOG side up for a light layer in warm rooms, or the 1.0 TOG side up for a firmer, warmer layer in moderate-temperature rooms. Refer to the included Bedding Temperature Guide for more information.
- Dress your baby in their sleepwear — a Layer (onesie) underneath a Cocoon Swaddle Bag (arms in or out) or Sleeping Bag (arms out) works well. Use the Bedding Temperature Guide to choose the right combination and TOG.
- Unzip the tuck sheet and lay your baby under the open folds, with their feet touching the end of the cot or crib.
- Zip up the sheet to the desired firmness. You should be able to zip it up easily and firmly fit two fingers between the sheet and your baby. Once zipped, make sure the sheet does not come up higher than the middle of your baby's chest — if it does, tuck more of the sheet under the mattress until the right length is achieved. Keep adjusting as your child grows taller.
- Unzip the sheet to remove your baby.
- Discontinue use once your baby shows signs of rolling over.
Care
Gentle cold machine wash in a mild detergent. Do not soak or bleach. Tumble dry low, moderately hot iron, and dry-cleanable (P).
Best for
The ergoPouch Baby Cot Tuck Sheet is a great option for parents who:
- Want a TOG-rated blanket alternative to use over a swaddle or sleep sack in a bassinet or cradle
- Have a newborn who settles better with a snug, tucked-in feel
- Like being able to adjust warmth and firmness as their baby grows and as the room temperature changes
It may not be the right fit if you:
- Have a baby who is showing signs of rolling over — use should be discontinued at this stage
- Are looking for a standard fitted cot sheet rather than a tuck-style sleep layer
Safety information
This tuck sheet has been tested and approved as safe by independent infant safety organisation INPAA, and when used in the right size it is designed not to come up higher than mid-way up baby's chest, in line with Red Nose safe sleep guidelines. Please also keep the following in mind:

- Do not use with more than one child inside the tuck sheet.
- Discontinue use once your baby shows signs of rolling over.
- It is recommended to sleep baby on their back from birth.
- For use only with a bassinet or cradle mattress. The mattress should have a firm surface; soft bedding is not recommended.
- Do not modify the product.
- Do not overdress your baby when using the tuck sheet, to help prevent overheating.
