The Difrax Non-Spill Sippy Cup is a 250 ml spout cup designed for babies aged 6 months and older, made to bridge the step from bottle to cup. It's the kind of first drinking cup you reach for when your little one is starting solids and learning to drink water alongside meals, whether at home or out and about. This version comes in a warm caramel colour, holds 250 ml, and is made from BPA-free plastic.
What sets it apart is the two-position valve, which lets you adjust how quickly the drink is released to suit where your child is in their drinking journey. Paired with its conical shape and a two-position anti-spill system, it's built to keep mealtimes and travel a little tidier while your child finds their feet with a cup.
How it works
- Two-position valve: You can adjust the drinking speed, dialling the flow up or down to match your child's stage and how confidently they're drinking.
- Conical shape: The cup is shaped so the drink flows towards the spout even when held horizontally, so your child doesn't need to tip their head far back or strain their neck to reach the last sips.
- Integrated anti-spill system: The valve and spout work together in a design intended to prevent spills, which is what makes it practical to pop into a nappy bag for the day.
- Detachable handles: Two ergonomic handles clip on for little hands to grip, and come off when you'd rather have a simpler shape.
This is a patented non-spill design that Difrax developed in collaboration with a medical team. The spout is a hard spout, made to resist chewing.
Keeping it clean
The cup is dishwasher safe, which takes some of the daily washing-up load off your hands. As with any valved cup, it helps to take the parts apart so you can rinse the valve and spout properly and let everything dry fully between uses.
Best For
The Difrax Non-Spill Sippy Cup is a great option for parents who:
- Are moving their child on from a bottle and want a first spout cup with handles to hold
- Would like to adjust the flow as their child's drinking improves
- Want a closable cup that's easier to carry when out and about
It may not be the best fit if you:
- Are ready to practise with an open cup or a straw cup instead of a spout
- Prefer a completely free-flow cup without a valve to work
Pandylane Pro Tip: A valved cup asks your child to suck a little to release the drink, so if they're new to it, start on the faster valve position and take the handles off once they'd rather hold the cup body themselves.
