The Yankee Candle Pink Island Sunset Small Jar is a scented glass jar candle that fills a room with notes of tropical fruit and citrus. It's a compact, keepsake-style candle that makes an easy gift or a little treat for yourself, with a warm fragrance that leans into thoughts of gentle trade winds and full, pink sunsets stretching across the horizon.

Housed in a contemporary glass jar measuring 6 cm x 9 cm, it offers up to 30 hours of burn time. The scent opens bright and fruity, then softens into something sweeter and warmer as it settles, so the fragrance stays interesting from the first light to the last.

The fragrance

The Pink Island Sunset scent is built in three layers that unfold as the candle burns:

Top Red fruit, orange and lemon for a bright, zesty first impression.
Middle Melon, coconut and peach bring a juicy, tropical heart.
Base Vanilla, sugar and musk settle into a soft, sweet warmth.

Considered detail

Yankee Candle is a home-fragrance brand with a recognisable visual character, and this small jar carries that through in its clean glass vessel and layered scent. It's made with a premium soy-blend wax mix designed for a clean, consistent burn, and a 100% natural fibre wick that's been tested for an even flame — small details that add up to a candle that's pleasant to have around and simple to gift.

How to Use

A little care helps the candle burn evenly and last well:

  1. Trim the wick to 3 mm before each burn using candle scissors.
  2. On the first burn, let the candle burn until the top layer of wax melts and reaches the edges of the glass — this helps prevent tunnelling.
  3. Gently extinguish the flame with a snuffer to help prevent smoking.
  4. Stop burning the candle once about 1 cm of wax is left at the bottom, for safety.

Disclaimer

This is an open-flame candle, not a nursery sleep aid or a children's product. Never leave a burning candle unattended, keep it out of reach of children and pets, and place it well away from cots, beds, curtains and anything that could catch. Candles should not be used as a substitute for other lighting during load-shedding around little ones.

Care & Maintenance

  • Trim the wick to 3mm before each burn using candle scissors
  • The first burning of the candle is the most important — burn at one time until the top layer of wax melts and reaches the edges of the glass to prevent tunneling
  • Gently extinguish the candle flame with a snuffer to prevent smoking
  • Stop burning the candle when there is only 1cm of wax left at the bottom, for safety reasons
