The Tommee Tippee Sangenic Twist & Click Tub is a dedicated nappy disposal bin that individually wraps each soiled nappy in anti-bacterial film, so germs and odours are sealed in as you go. Rather than relying on a single lid to hold everything in, it twists each nappy into its own pocket of film — which means unpleasant smells stay contained even when you open the lid for the next change. It's a practical way to keep nappy waste managed at the changing station and cut down on trips to the outside bin.
Powered by the Sangenic Twist & Click system, this nappy bin holds up to 28 nappies at a time and is built to sit neatly in a nursery, bathroom or small flat. At 39 cm tall with a 29.7 x 26.2 cm footprint and a flat lid that opens flush against a wall, it's slimline enough to tuck into most changing areas, and available in white, blue, pink and green.
How the Twist & Click system works
- Individual wrapping: A twist of the handle wraps each nappy in the optimum amount of multi-layer film, so smells and germs are sealed inside their own pocket rather than sitting loose in the bin.
- Antibacterial GREENFILM: The multi-layer film kills 99% of dangerous germs such as E. coli and Staphylococcus aureus, and on contact it stops bacteria breaking down proteins — the process responsible for many nasty nappy smells.
- Smart sealing lid: The lid closes over the contents to help keep odours enclosed between changes.
- In-built plunger: As you shut the lid, the plunger pushes each nappy deep into the bin, so you keep your hands clean and away from the waste.
Using it day to day
Each change follows three simple steps:
- Drop: Push the nappy into the bin until it is gripped.
- Twist & Click: Twist the handle until you hear the click — the nappy is now wrapped in film.
- Seal: Close the lid and the in-built plunger pushes the nappy down, locking mess and odours away.
How to change a refill
Pop in a refill and pull out some film. Gather the film and push it through, then take off the lid, tie a knot in the film and secure it on the hook. Pop the lid back on and you're ready for the next change.
How to empty the bin
Remove the lid to reveal a string of wrapped nappies. Unhook the knot and drop it into the bin, then pull more film through, cut it on the built-in cutter blade and tie a knot in the top. Use the carry handle to take the bundle out to the outside bin.
A more eco-conscious design
The Twist & Click nappy bin and refill chassis are made from 98% recycled and fully recyclable plastic. The multi-layer anti-bacterial GREENFILM is now bio-based and made from sustainably sourced sugar cane. Each refill lasts up to a month based on using size 1 nappies (2–5 kg), so how long it lasts will depend on your baby's nappy size and how often you change.
Best For
The Tommee Tippee Sangenic Twist & Click Tub is a great option for parents who:
- Want odours contained even when the lid is opened, thanks to individual wrapping
- Change nappies in a nursery, bathroom or small flat where a kitchen bin isn't ideal
- Prefer a hands-free plunger so they don't have to touch the waste
- Like a slimline bin with a flat lid that sits flush against a wall
It may not be the best fit if you:
- Are using reusable nappies and need a dry pail or wet bag for laundering
- Prefer a bin that takes universal bin bags rather than a proprietary refill
Pandylane Pro Tip: This bin comes with one pre-loaded refill cassette, and the Twist & Click system only works with Tommee Tippee Twist & Click refills — Sangenic TEC and Simplee Sangenic cassettes won't fit. It's worth keeping a spare Twist & Click refill on hand so you're never caught short mid-change.
Disclaimer
The antibacterial protection is present in the film only, not in the other components of this product. The film is treated with Biomaster silver biocide, tested to ISO 22196-2011. Please use biocides responsibly. A sealed bin still needs normal cleaning and correct waste handling, and nappies should go out with your household waste in line with your local municipal guidance — never flushed.
