Warming is optional (milk can be served cold if it's otherwise handled correctly), but many parents find a body-temperature feed feels more natural and is a little gentler on tiny tummies. A single dial and a smart timer do the thinking for you, so it's an easy one to reach for during night feeds or a busy morning routine.

Warming to suit where the feed is starting from

There are three settings to work with: warm a feed straight from the fridge, warm one that's already at room temperature, or use the keep-warm setting to hold a feed ready. It's all controlled from one dial, and a built-in smart timer works out the best warming time based on the setting you choose and the starting temperature — so you're not standing over it doing the maths.

As a guide, it can warm a feed to body temperature in around four minutes, based on heating a 150 ml bottle of formula from 20°C to 37°C. Taller bottles with more milk inside will take a little longer, so treat the timing as a starting point rather than a fixed number.

The warmer has an interior diameter of 8.93 cm and is designed to fit most brands of baby bottle, including plastic bottles, as well as food jars. It's noted as compatible with MAM bottles and Philips Avent Natural Response bottles — though because bottle shapes and heights vary, it's worth checking that your specific bottle size sits comfortably inside before you rely on it.
