The Stella Clip Charlie Brown is a magnetic clip handmade from South African leather, designed to keep small baby items exactly where you want them while you're out and about. In the Charlie Brown colourway, it's finished in toffee leather with matching toffee stitching. Each clip uses strong neodymium magnets to grip almost any material, yet stays light enough to carry and use one-handed — which is what makes it such a versatile little travel accessory to keep in your nappy bag.

Part of the Stella Clip Originals, the debut collection the brand started with, these clips are handcrafted in Cape Town from untreated, completely natural leather — no chemicals or oils are used in the leather. Because each one is made by hand, every clip looks slightly different, which is part of its character. Orders come as a set of two, so you have a pair ready for different jobs.

Design and materials

Each clip is made from prime, ethically sourced South African A-grade leather, with the hide sourced locally. Folded, it measures 100 mm long, 45 mm wide and 15 mm deep — small enough to tuck into a bag and keep on hand. The natural, untreated leather and hand-finished stitching give it a keepsake quality that also makes the set a considered gift for a new parent.

Disclaimer

The neodymium magnets are strong. Please keep the clips well away from small children, and never swallow. Keep the clip away from where a child could reach or mouth it, and use it with supervision.

Care & Maintenance

  • Natural leather that ages beautifully: The leather is untreated, so it will soften and develop a patina over time. Slight colour changes with use are normal and part of its character.
  • Cleaning: Wipe gently with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth. Do not soak, machine wash or put in the dishwasher.
  • If it gets wet: Pat dry and let it air dry naturally at room temperature. Avoid hairdryers, heaters or direct sun, which can dry out and crack the leather.
  • Conditioning (optional): A small amount of leather conditioner can keep the leather supple. Test on the inside first, as it may darken untreated leather.
  • Storage: Store in a cool, dry place. Keep clips away from bank cards, phones and other magnet-sensitive items.
  • Safety: Contains strong neodymium magnets. Not a toy. Keep out of reach of children, never place in the mouth, and check clips regularly for wear. Keep away from pacemakers and other medical implants.
