The SoPure Gentle Baby Laundry Detergent is a fragrance-free, enzyme-free laundry liquid made for washing newborn, baby and toddler clothing, bedding and other washable textiles. Plant-based surfactants lift everyday milk, formula, food and stains, while the formula is designed to rinse clean and leave no residue in the fabric that sits against your little one's skin.

It's formulated with newborn and sensitive skin in mind, and is suited to families managing eczema and sensitive skin. The formula is free from enzymes, synthetic fragrances, petrochemical surfactants, optical brighteners, parabens, synthetic dyes, nonylphenols, phosphates and phosphonate — a clear free-from list if you're trying to keep your baby's wash simple. It's plant-based, grey water safe and certified Beauty Without Cruelty, and it works by hand or in the machine so it slots into whatever wash routine already works for you.

How to use

For a standard load, use 30–60 ml (roughly two caps) for every 6 kg of laundry, adjusting within that range depending on how soiled the load is. Wash and rinse as normal, by hand or machine.

  1. For heavy soiling or nappies, pre-soak the garments in warm water with one capful of detergent for 30 minutes first.
  2. Wash as normal and rinse thoroughly.
  3. Wash brand-new baby clothes once before the first wear to remove any factory residue.

"Fragrance-free" means no synthetic fragrance has been added; it is not a guarantee against any reaction, so patch or trial washing is sensible if skin is very reactive.
