The Snuggletime Baby Safe Concentrated Washing Powder is a plant-based, enzyme laundry detergent made for washing baby clothing, bedding and the family's everyday textiles. It's a 3-in-1 powder that cleans, deodorises and softens in a single step, so you don't need to add a separate fabric conditioner to the wash.

Because it's concentrated, a little goes a long way: the 2.5 kg pack is dosed by the teaspoon for hand washing and by the cap for machine loads. The granules are deliberately made slightly clammy, which helps cut down on wastage and keeps fine particles from becoming airborne as you measure out a dose. It's formulated to work in cold water, so you can wash effectively without heating a cycle.

How it works

• Six bio-enzyme blend: The powder uses a blend of six enzymes that target different types of soil, breaking stains down so they lift away and are less likely to be redeposited elsewhere in the wash.
• Cold-water cleaning: It's designed to clean at low temperatures, which suits cold washes and helps you skip a heated cycle.
• Plant-based surfactant: The surfactant and natural cleaning agents work to lift dirt and oil-based stains from the fabric fibres.

How to use

Dose to the size of your wash:

• Hand wash: 1 teaspoon (5 ml) per 1 kg of laundry.
• Machine wash: 1 cap (35 ml) per 7 kg load.

Do not add fabric softener — it interferes with the performance of the active enzymes.

Good to know

The formulation is pH neutral and, according to the manufacturer, plant-based and 100% biodegradable. It has a shelf life of two years from manufacture. As with any laundry product, keep it in its original container, out of children's reach, and follow the care instructions on your garments — some items such as wool, waterproof covers and flame-resistant sleepwear have their own washing requirements.
