Goes great with ...
  • Pull-and-discover play: Tug the black-and-white ring down to reveal a hidden rainbow, then watch the whale jitter back up into place.
  • Cause and effect: The repeatable action encourages baby to reach, grasp, tug and learn what happens next.
  • Varied textures: A bumpy whale, soft waves and an over-moulded ring with ribbons give little hands plenty to explore.
  • High-contrast colours: Bold black-and-white and bright colours are easy for young babies to focus on and are designed to help develop vision.
  • Takes it anywhere: A repositionable strap clips onto a carrier, stroller or car seat for play on the go.
  • Soft, cuddly fabrics: Baby-soft materials make it a comfortable companion in baby's everyday environment.
  • Easy to clean: Simply wipe over with a damp cloth.

The Sassy Wavy Whale Jitter Toy is an attachable sensory toy built around one simple, repeatable action babies love: pull the ring down and let go. The whale sits on an ocean of waves, and when baby tugs the black-and-white ring, a rainbow of colour is revealed before the whale jitters back up into place. It's a hands-on introduction to cause and effect, with plenty to grasp, reach for, tug and explore along the way.

With a repositionable strap, it clips onto a carrier, stroller or car seat, so there's something interesting within reach whether you're on a walk or in the car. At 33 cm long, it hangs where baby can see and reach it, and the mix of textures and bold colours gives little hands and eyes plenty to discover.

A mix of textures and sounds to explore

Part of what makes this jitter toy engaging is the variety packed into one design. The whale has a bumpy texture, the three layers of waves are soft, and it's finished with an over-moulded ring and ribbons — different materials that invite baby to feel, mouth and compare as they play. The bold, high-contrast colours are easy for young babies to focus on and are designed to help develop vision in the early months, while the surprise rainbow rewards each pull.

How it works

  • Pull-and-jitter action: Tugging the ring down extends the waves to reveal a hidden rainbow, then the whale jitters back up into place — a clear cause-and-effect response baby can repeat again and again.
  • Multi-texture design: A bumpy whale, soft waves and an over-moulded ring with ribbons give baby contrasting surfaces to explore by touch.
  • Repositionable strap: The strap attaches to a carrier, stroller or car seat and can be moved as needed, keeping the toy within reach on the go.
