The Sassy Rock-A-Dile Toy is a light-up, musical busy box shaped like a friendly crocodile, designed to give baby plenty to look at, listen to and press. With two modes to switch between — a colour mode and a music mode — it offers more than one way to play, so it can hold interest as baby's attention and coordination grow. It's an easy first activity toy for babies who are starting to reach, grasp and enjoy cause and effect.
Everything happens through one big teeth button that's easy for little hands to activate. In colour mode (switched on with the paintbrush button), pressing the teeth cycles through red, yellow and blue, naming each colour in both English and Spanish while the teeth light up in the matching shade. In music mode (switched on with the music note button), the same button plays three long-play melodies to move to, with lights flashing along as the music plays. Keep pressing to move through the different tunes.
How it Works
- Two modes, one button: The paintbrush button selects colour mode and the music note button selects music mode, while a single large teeth button activates the sounds and lights — simple enough for baby to trigger on their own.
- Colour play: In colour mode, each press names red, yellow or blue in English and Spanish, and the teeth illuminate in that colour, pairing what baby hears with what they see.
- Music play: In music mode, the teeth button starts three long-play melodies to dance and bounce to, with lights flashing in time as the tunes play.
- Rattle and shake: A maraca-style spine with clackers adds a rattle sound when shaken, and the handle has a bead chase to fiddle with — so there's plenty to do even with the sounds switched off.
Volume and batteries
A two-level volume control lets you turn the sound up or down, and there's an off button for quieter moments — handy when you'd like baby to keep exploring the shaking, bead chase and textures without the music. It runs on two replaceable AAA batteries, which are included, so it's ready to play straight away. The crocodile is made from BPA-free plastic.
