The Pigeon Tube-Type Nose Cleaner is a manual nasal aspirator designed to gently clear mucus from a baby's nose, so a blocked or runny nose is less likely to get in the way of feeding, sleeping and settling. Suitable for babies aged 0 months and above, it uses a mouthpiece and tube that let you draw out mucus using your own breath — which means you stay in full control of how gently and how strongly you suction.
Instead of a fixed pump or squeeze bulb, this nose cleaner works with your own breathing, so you can ease off the moment baby has had enough. Mucus is drawn into the transparent bottle where you can see exactly what has come out, and the design is enhanced with Backflow Prevention valves that help keep the extracted mucus in the bottle rather than flowing back towards baby.
How it works
- Breath-controlled suction: You create the suction with your own breathing through the mouthpiece, so you can feel and adjust the flow and strength gently as you go.
- Backflow Prevention: The valves are designed to keep mucus trapped in the bottle without flowing back into baby's nose, provided the bottle is held upright with the suction opening facing upwards.
- Rounded nozzle tip: The tip is shaped to sit gently at the nostril rather than pressing into it.
- Transparent bottle and tube: Being able to see the mucus as it's drawn out makes it easy to judge when the nose is clear.
How to use
- Align the venting hole to the suction opening firmly.
- Settle baby in your arms and place the mouthpiece in your mouth.
- Gently place the nozzle tip close to baby's nostril while sucking gently.
- Keep the bottle upright with the suction opening facing upwards so the Backflow Prevention is set correctly.
To clean, separate the nose cleaner into its individual parts and flush each part under warm running water after each use.
Best for
The Pigeon Tube-Type Nose Cleaner is a great option for parents who:
- Want a non-medicated, mechanical way to help clear a congested little nose
- Prefer to control the suction themselves rather than rely on a fixed setting
- Like being able to see the mucus that's been drawn out
- Need something suitable from newborn stage (0 months and above)
Please note
Keep out of reach of children. Never force the nozzle tip into baby's nostril, and always remove any hard mucus first with a cotton swab or tissue before using the nose cleaner. Do not use the nose cleaner if there is a nosebleed. This is a nasal-care device, not a medicine — if baby has difficulty breathing, wheezing, or symptoms that persist or worsen, please seek advice from your pharmacist or clinician.
