Unfortunately, we can’t accept returns on this product once it’s been opened. This is usually because:

The Pigeon SofTouch™ Step 1 Training Straw Set turns a compatible SofTouch™ 240ml nursing bottle into a straw cup, giving your baby a gentle way to start practising straw drinking from around six months. Rather than switching to a whole new cup, it lets you build on a bottle your little one already knows — a familiar shape and feel in the mouth — while they learn a new sipping skill.

The straw top is shaped along similar lines to the SofTouch™ teat, so it's designed to help your baby practise natural lip closure and move to a drinking straw without the change feeling abrupt. The set includes two straw tops — a Round Tip and a Y Cut — plus a connector and the Gravity Ball Straw, so you can settle on the top that suits your baby and swap between them as needed.

How it works

  • Familiar SofTouch™ shape: The straw top echoes the design of the SofTouch™ teat, which is intended to help baby practise natural lip closure and transition to straw drinking with a shape and touch they recognise.
  • Gravity Ball Straw: A weighted straw follows the liquid, so your baby can drink at multiple angles — handy for an active, wriggly little one who won't hold the cup perfectly upright.
  • One-piece silicone straw: The Gravity Ball Straw is a fully sealed, one-piece silicone design that keeps the gravity ball secured to the straw and leaves fewer hidden corners where residue can collect.
  • Dual Air Vents: Two air vents are built in for a smooth, uninterrupted drinking experience as baby sips.

How to use and clean

For safety and hygiene, alternate between two or more straw tops and replace the straw tops every two months to keep them in good condition. After each use, rinse in warm water and wash using a Pigeon Liquid Cleanser, then sterilise. A SofTouch™ Nipple Brush can be used to clean the straw tops, and the SofTouch™ Straw Brush is designed for cleaning the Gravity Ball Straw. Make sure every part — including areas you can't easily see — is thoroughly washed and rinsed to remove any milk residue.
