Owlet Dream Sock Smart Baby Monitor

The Owlet Dream Sock Smart Baby Monitor is a wearable smart baby monitor that wraps comfortably around your baby's foot to track pulse rate and oxygen levels (SpO2) while they sleep, along with sleep patterns and wakings. It connects to the Owlet Dream App and a base station, giving you live health readings and real-time notifications when your baby's readings move outside preset ranges — so you can check on them when it matters.

Unlike an ordinary audio or video monitor that relays sound or an image, the Dream Sock measures oxygen saturation and pulse rate directly at the foot. It is FDA-cleared and uses the same pulse oximetry technology used in hospitals. In clinical evaluation, it demonstrated SpO2 accuracy across all skin tones under both motion and non-motion conditions, within +/- 3% of gold-standard arterial blood gas measurements.

How it works

• Pulse oximetry: The sensor sits against your baby's foot and reads oxygen saturation (SpO2) and pulse rate using the same measurement approach used in hospital settings.
• Photoplethysmography analysis: The software analyses the sensor data to identify when your baby's pulse rate and/or SpO2 moves outside a preset range.
• Preset notification ranges: You'll be notified if oxygen falls below 80%, or if pulse rate drops under 50 BPM or rises above 220 BPM.
• Three ways to notify you: When your baby needs you, the ecosystem prompts you through the Base Station, a push notification, and an in-app prompt.

Health and sleep insights

Beyond live readings, the Owlet Dream App lets you view historical health and sleep trends from anywhere, including wakings and sleep patterns over time, so you can build a fuller picture of your baby's sleep. All app features are included with no subscription fee or recurring costs.

Connectivity and setup

The Dream Sock works on a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi band and pairs with the Owlet Dream App, which needs iOS 13.0 or higher, or Android 7.0 or higher. A data or Wi-Fi connection is required for the app to work.

Keeping it clean

To help avoid skin irritation from an unclean sock and sensor, it's recommended to wash both every two weeks. Spot wash the sock by hand using a mild detergent and lukewarm water, and spot wash the sensor.
