The Owlet Dream Sock & Cam Duo brings together two ways of keeping an eye on your baby in one connected setup: the wearable Dream Sock, which tracks pulse rate, oxygen levels and sleep trends from your baby's foot, and the Dream Sight 2K HD camera, which streams secure video straight to your phone. It's Owlet's most complete monitoring system, pairing live wellness readings with a clear view of the nursery through a single app.
Where a traditional audio or video baby monitor tells you what your baby sounds or looks like, this smart baby monitor adds a data-driven layer — heart rate, oxygen and sleep patterns measured using pulse oximetry technology — alongside HD video, two-way talk, and room temperature and humidity sensing. Everything feeds into the Owlet Dream App, so whether you're in the next room or away from home, you can check in from your phone.
The Dream Sock: wearable wellness tracking
The Dream Sock wraps gently around your baby's foot to track live pulse rate, oxygen levels, movement and sleep trends using non-invasive pulse oximetry. Over time it builds up sleep insights — including total hours slept and sleep trends — and sends notifications if readings fall outside preset safe zones, so you can check in when it matters. The fabric is soft and designed for all-night wear, and the sock is made to fit babies from birth to around 18 months (two sizes covering roughly 2.2 kg to 13.6 kg, for both left and right feet). Extra fabric socks are included so the fit can grow with your baby.
A single charge gives up to 16 hours of monitoring, and the wireless charging base tops the sock up quickly — around an 8-hour charge in 20 minutes, or a full charge in about 90 minutes — which helps you keep it in rotation through load-shedding or a busy night routine.
The Dream Sight: 2K HD video monitoring
The Dream Sight camera streams 2K HD video with infrared night vision and a 130-degree wide-angle lens, so you can take in the whole cot at a glance. A 4x digital pinch-to-zoom lets you look closer, two-way talk means you can soothe your baby from another room, and built-in sound and motion detection sends smart alerts for cry, sound and motion. Room temperature and humidity sensors add another layer of awareness about your baby's sleep environment. There's no separate parent screen — the camera works through the smartphone app — and it powers via USB-C with the wall adapter and mounting hardware included.
One app, one connected view
Both devices connect through the Owlet Dream App on Apple iOS and Android, giving you live readings, video, sleep history and alerts in one place. The system connects over a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi band with Bluetooth setup, keeps up to three weeks of tracking data so you can spot patterns, and protects your feed with advanced anti-hacking protection using 256-bit encryption.
How it works
- Pulse oximetry: The Dream Sock uses proven pulse oximetry technology to take non-invasive readings of pulse rate and oxygen levels from your baby's foot.
- Smart alerts: The sock notifies you when readings fall outside preset safe zones, while the camera flags cry, sound and motion.
- Environmental sensing: In-camera sensors track room temperature and humidity, helping you keep an eye on sleep conditions.
- Secure connection: Video and data stream over your home Wi-Fi with 256-bit encryption to help keep your feed private.
Medical aid claimable in South Africa

Best for
The Owlet Dream Sock & Cam Duo is a great option for parents who:
- Want both wearable wellness tracking and HD video in one connected system
- Prefer to view readings and video from their phone rather than a separate parent unit
- Value smart alerts and room temperature and humidity sensing for extra reassurance
- Would like a NAPPI-coded product they may be able to claim through a South African medical aid
It may not be the best fit if you:
- Prefer a dedicated parent unit that doesn't rely on a smartphone or Wi-Fi
- Only need simple audio monitoring
Pandylane Pro Tip: Clean the fabric sock and spot-clean its sensor every two weeks, following the cleaning guide to power everything down first. It's a small habit that helps avoid irritation to your little one's skin.
Good to know
The Dream Sock and Dream Sight are designed to keep you informed and support your awareness — they don't replace adult supervision, safe-sleep practice or professional medical care. The Dream Sock is intended to track your baby's heart rate and oxygen level and keep you informed; it is not intended to diagnose, treat or cure any disease or condition, including Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) or Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV). Medical decisions should never be made solely using Dream Duo or Dream Sock data. Please note that the full-featured, FDA-cleared Dream Sock and BabySat experience is available in the U.S. only. The system requires a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi band and the Owlet Dream App (iOS 13.0 or higher, Android 7.0 or higher).
