The NUK Thermo Express Food Warmer is an electric steam bottle and food warmer that brings milk and baby food up to feeding temperature quickly, so you're not left guessing whether a bottle is too hot or too cold. Using gentle steam and one-button operation, it warms a bottle or jar in around 90 seconds*, then switches itself off automatically once the cycle is done — a practical helper for busy days and middle-of-the-night feeds alike.
Compact and lightweight, it's designed to fit all standard baby bottles and glass food jars, and comes with a separate basket that doubles as a jar holder so you can lift bottles and jars in and out without fuss. It suits a wide feeding stage, with the manufacturer noting suitability from birth through to around 36 months as your baby moves from milk feeds to warmed solids.
How it works
- Steam warming: A measured amount of water is heated to steam, which gently and evenly brings the milk or food up to temperature rather than using direct dry heat.
- Automatic shut-off: Once the water you added has evaporated, the appliance switches itself off on its own, which also saves energy.
- Overheating protection: A built-in safeguard helps prevent the unit from overheating during use.
- Warming indicator: An integrated light shows you at a glance that a warming cycle is in progress.
How to use
- Fill the appliance with the right amount of water for the bottle or glass jar you're warming (keep the water level at or above 11 ml, otherwise the food won't warm properly).
- Place the bottle or jar into the basket and lower it into the warmer.
- Press the button once to start the cycle — the light comes on to show it's heating.
- Once the water has evaporated, the warmer switches off automatically. Lift the basket out to remove your bottle or jar.
Warming time is a guide rather than a fixed constant — it varies with the starting temperature, the volume and the container. Always give the milk or food a stir and check the temperature yourself before feeding.
Best for
The NUK Thermo Express Food Warmer is a good fit for parents who:
- Want a fast, one-button way to warm bottles and jars without watching a thermometer
- Feed both milk and, later, warmed baby food and want one appliance that handles standard bottles and glass jars
- Prefer a compact, lightweight warmer that doesn't take up much counter space
- Value the reassurance of automatic shut-off and overheating protection
It may not suit you if you feed straight from breast milk storage bags or use PE bottles (see below), or if you'd rather serve milk cold — warming is optional as long as milk is otherwise handled safely.
Good to know
This appliance is not suitable for PE bottles or breast milk bags. To keep it working properly, descale it regularly, and don't let the water level drop below 11 ml or the food won't warm through. Runs on 220–240 V / 500 W and comes with a 12-month warranty.
Pandylane Pro Tip: A warmer heats the water bath, so the very centre of a feed can lag behind the outside. Swirl the bottle or stir the jar and test a drop on the inside of your wrist before every feed — quick to do, and it takes the guesswork out completely.
*From room temperature to drinking temperature: 120 ml of fluid heated in a 240 ml bottle.
