The NUK First Choice Bottle 300ml is a plastic baby bottle built around NUK's established First Choice feeding system, made to carry expressed milk or formula through everyday feeds. With a generous 300ml capacity, it suits the bigger feeds of an older baby while keeping the familiar First Choice fit, so it works alongside the teats and caps you may already be using in the range.
Feeding is rarely just about the bottle — it's about how easily a feed goes down, how quick the check before a feed is, and how much cleaning it leaves you with afterwards. This bottle brings together a few practical features aimed at exactly those moments, from an anti-colic teat function to a colour-changing temperature indicator and a redesigned sealing cap.
An anti-colic function designed for calmer feeds
The First Choice teat carries NUK's Anti-Colic Function, which is designed to support a natural milk flow and reduce the amount of air baby takes in during a feed. The intention is fewer bubbles and less fuss at the table. As with any anti-colic design, it describes how the teat is built rather than a promise about how a particular baby will respond — every baby feeds differently.
A quick temperature check before every feed
A temperature control indicator sits on the back of the bottle and changes colour from blue to white if the contents are too hot. It's a reassuring visual cue you can glance at before feeding, though it's a guide rather than a substitute for the usual advice of stirring heated milk and checking the temperature yourself before offering it to baby.
A sealing cap that fits the range
The redesigned sealing cap protects the teat from dirt and forms a seal that helps minimise leaks. It replaces the older sealing disc and simplifies assembly, and it's compatible with all NUK First Choice teats — S, M, Flow Control and XL — so you can swap teats as baby's feeding changes. The Flow Control teat, in particular, lets baby manage the milk flow at their own pace.
How to use and care for it
Before the first use, take the bottle apart, clean every component and place the parts in boiling water for five minutes. For everyday cleaning, use NUK bottle cleanser or a mild washing-up liquid, reaching into hidden surfaces and rinsing thoroughly — soak it first if needed, and avoid scratching the inside. When boiling or steam sterilising, always dismantle the bottle and leave the parts open to avoid deformation, and don't exceed 100°C. Never heat or cool a closed bottle, and when warming milk keep the temperature below 60°C to help retain vitamins and nutrients. Store the bottle dry and clean.
Disclaimer
Always use this product with adult supervision, and inspect the teat before each use by pulling it in all directions — throw it away at the first sign of damage or weakness. Replace teats after 1–2 months, and replace the bottle if the inside becomes scratched or damaged, for hygiene reasons. Never use a feeding teat as a soother, and never attach cords or ribbons to the product. This bottle should not be cleaned in a dishwasher, as dishwasher detergents can cause material damage. The colour-changing temperature paint is sensitive to moist heat and descaler and will fade over time with frequent boiling. Some foods (such as carrot juice or fennel tea) may discolour or affect the odour of the material without affecting its safety or fitness for use. When preparing formula, always follow the food manufacturer's instructions. NUK baby bottles comply with EN 14350, and NUK accessories are only compatible within their respective product range.
