NUK First Choice Bottle 150ml

The NUK First Choice Bottle 150ml is a baby bottle for feeding expressed milk or formula, built around NUK's established First Choice system. It pairs a compact 150ml body with an anti-colic teat design and a colour-changing temperature indicator, so you can prepare, check and offer a feed with a little more reassurance during those early routines.

Like the wider First Choice range, this bottle is designed to make a repeated daily task more manageable. It works with NUK's asymmetric teat concept and a family of flows, so as your baby's feeding changes you can adjust the teat rather than the whole bottle. The bottle body complies with EN 14350.

How it works

• NUK Anti-Colic Function: The teat is designed to support a natural milk flow and minimise air ingestion, which is intended to reduce bubbles during feeds. This describes the design intention rather than a guarantee that colic or swallowed air will be reduced for a particular baby.
• Temperature control indicator: Located on the back of the bottle, it changes colour from blue to white if the contents are too hot, giving you a quick visual check before a feed. (You should still stir heated milk and check the temperature yourself before feeding.)
• New sealing cap: The cap protects the teat from dirt and forms a seal to help minimise leaks, replacing the older sealing disk to simplify assembly. It is compatible with all NUK First Choice teats (S, M, Flow Control, XL).
• Flow to suit your baby's pace: The Flow Control teat lets baby manage the milk flow, and because the bottle takes the full range of First Choice teats you can move through flow options as feeding develops.

How to use and care

Before first use, disassemble the bottle, clean all components and place them in boiling water for 5 minutes. Before each subsequent use, clean carefully — NUK bottle cleanser or a mild washing-up liquid works well — reaching hidden surfaces, soaking if needed, then rinsing thoroughly. Sterilise as required.

1. For boiling or steam sterilising, always dismantle the bottle fully and leave the parts open to avoid deformation. Do not exceed the maximum sterilisation temperature of 100°C.
2. Never heat or cool a closed bottle, as this carries a risk of explosion or material damage. Take extra care with microwave heating, as localised overheating can occur.
3. Inspect the teat before each use, pulling it in all directions and gently squeezing the vent and drinking hole to check they are open.
4. Store dry and hygienic, and replace teats after 1–2 months for hygiene and safety.

Teats and bottles should not be cleaned in a dishwasher, as dishwasher detergents can cause material damage. The temperature-based colour indicator is sensitive to moist heat and descaler and will fade over time if frequently boiled or exposed to evaporation.

Always use this product with adult supervision and throw it away at the first signs of damage or weakness. Keep components not in use out of reach of children, and never attach cords, ribbons or loose parts, as these pose a strangulation risk. Never use a feeding teat as a soother. When preparing formula or tea, follow the food manufacturer's instructions; to retain vitamins and nutrients the temperature should not exceed 60°C. Always check the food temperature before feeding. From 5 months, gradually move baby over to a beaker. Continuous and prolonged sucking of fluids can cause tooth decay, even with non-sweetened fluids. Breastfeeding is best for babies.
