The Nanit Pro Baby Monitor with Floor Stand is a smart video baby monitor that gives you an overhead, bird's-eye view of your baby in 1080p HD, streamed straight to your phone through the Nanit app. Rather than mounting to a wall, it sits on an included freestanding base, so you can set it up over a bassinet, cot or toddler bed in the nursery, your own bedroom or a travel space — no drilling or wall mounts required.

Alongside real-time sound and motion alerts, two-way audio and infrared night vision, the Nanit Pro adds breathing motion monitoring, sleep tracking and built-in temperature and humidity sensors, so you can keep an eye on both your baby and the room around them. A clear overhead view, day and night

The camera's overhead angle is designed to give you a full view of your baby in the cot rather than a side-on glimpse. You get real-time, crystal-clear 1080p HD video, and infrared night vision keeps the picture sharp even in a fully darkened room. Two-way audio lets you listen in and talk to your baby from your phone, and the monitor can play background audio, white noise and nature sounds to help settle the sleep space.

Breathing motion monitoring

The Nanit Pro tracks your baby's breathing movements using sensor-free technology — there's no wearable sensor against the skin. The included Breathing Band works with the camera to detect breathing motion and stream it to the app. It's a way to stay informed of your baby's breathing movements, not a medical monitor (see the note below).

Sleep insights and smart alerts

Beyond live viewing, the Nanit app can surface auto-captured sleep data, a live-status sleep dashboard, custom alerts such as cry detection and a Baby Standing alert, and developmental milestone tracking for phases like rolling over, sitting and standing up. The Floor Stand is ASTM certified for durability and stability, and adjusts to two height settings so you can get a clear overhead view whether your baby is in a bassinet, cot or toddler bed. A built-in cord cover helps keep cables out of reach for a tidier, safer-looking nursery.

Privacy, sharing and compatibility

Your data is protected with 256-bit AES encryption and two-factor authentication. Through the app you can add multiple users, control and monitor their permissions, and connect grandparents or other caregivers to your parenting team. Split-screen viewing lets you watch two cameras at once, and the system works with the Nanit app, Google Home, Amazon Alexa and more.

How the Nanit Insights plans work

The Nanit Pro works out of the box with a set of free app features, and layers deeper analytics on top through the Nanit Insights subscription. Your purchase includes a free 6-month trial of the Sleep Plan; after that you can continue on a paid plan or keep using the app's core features. There are three tiers to choose from — the Sleep Plan, the Memories Plan and the Milestones Plan — which unlock progressively more, such as longer video history, more sleep analysis, additional users and developmental milestone capture.
