Goes great with ...
  • Temperature cue at a glance: The White Hot safety disc reveals the word HOT in white when the bath water is too hot for baby's sensitive skin.
  • Toy and check in one: It squirts and floats, so it works as a bath toy once you've checked the water.
  • Water-tight design: The sealed body helps stop it sinking and helps prevent mildew forming inside.
  • Easy for little hands: A fun, easy-to-grasp size and shape suit small hands at bath time.
  • Suitable from birth: Designed for use from 0+ months, so it fits into your routine from the newborn days.
  • A supportive aid, not a substitute: Use it alongside your own water check and constant supervision, never in place of them.

The Munchkin White Hot Safety Ducky is a bath thermometer and bath toy in one, giving you an easy visual cue about your water temperature before your baby goes in. Built into the base of the duck is a White Hot safety disc that reveals the word HOT in white when the bath water is too hot for your little one's sensitive skin, so you have a quick, at-a-glance check as part of your bath-time routine.

Beyond the temperature indicator, it's also a genuine bath toy: it squirts, floats and is water-tight, so it stays fun to play with while helping keep water out of the inside where mildew can otherwise build up. The fun, easy-to-grasp size and shape suit little hands, and it's suitable from birth (0+ months).

How it works

  • White Hot safety disc: The disc on the base changes to reveal the word HOT in white when the bath water is too hot for baby, giving you a clear visual prompt to add cooler water before bathing.
  • Water-tight body: The sealed design keeps water from getting inside, which stops it sinking and helps prevent mildew forming where you can't easily clean.
  • Squirt and float function: It floats on the surface and squirts water, doubling as a bath toy once your check is done.

Best For

The Munchkin White Hot Safety Ducky is a great option for parents who:

  • Want a simple visual reminder to check water temperature at bath time
  • Like the idea of combining a temperature indicator with a floating bath toy
  • Are setting up a first bath-time routine and want an easy-to-grasp aid from birth

A note on safe bathing

The White Hot safety disc is designed to help you spot when water is too hot, but it's an aid rather than a guarantee. Always test the water yourself and keep a hand on your baby throughout — no bath product replaces active, hands-on supervision.
