Munchkin Sun Safety Roller Shade

The Munchkin Sun Safety Roller Shade is a retractable car window shade designed to cut the glare off your child's window on sunny drives, while keeping the outside view clear. It pairs a fine mesh fabric with a built-in White Hot® heat alert, so it does more than just shade a seat — it also gives you a visual cue about how warm things are getting near your little one.

Because it's a roller shade rather than a static cling panel, you pull it up when you need it and roll it away when you don't, using the one-push retract button. It's a practical pick if you're driving in strong South African sun and want to keep light off a rear-facing baby or a snoozing toddler without blocking your own line of sight.

Shade that keeps the view

The Safe-View™ premium fabric mesh is made to block glare while still letting you see out, which matters when you're relying on the window or checking on the back seat. It also helps protect against harmful UVA and UVB rays. Do bear in mind that a window shade reduces direct light over the area it covers — it won't cool a parked car, and the White Hot® indicator is there to alert you, not to lower the temperature.

How it works

• White Hot® heat alert: The patented indicator turns white when the car is too hot, giving you a quick visual prompt to check on the temperature around your child.
• Dual attachment system: You can fit it using the adjustable clips or the silicone suction cups, whichever holds better on your window, for a more secure fit.
• Swivelling window clips: The clips swivel to suit most window shapes, so the shade can sit neatly against different rear windows.
• One-push retract: A single button rolls the shade back up, making it easy to stow between trips.

A note on placement

As with any car accessory, position the shade so it doesn't interfere with the driver's view, seat belts, anchor points or your car seat's installation, and keep attachment points secure so nothing comes loose while you're moving.
