Everything you need to get started comes in the box, including a flange ruler and a set of inserts to help you find a comfortable fit — an important detail, since a suitable flange size (not your bra size) is what makes expressing feel comfortable.

Fit and comfort

The pump has a 24 mm flange and includes 17 mm, 19 mm and 21 mm flange inserts, so you can size down to match your measurement. The included flange ruler helps you check which insert suits you, which takes some of the guesswork out of getting set up. Comfortable alignment and the right insert make a real difference to how expressing feels, so it's worth taking a moment to measure before your first session.

Control over each session

You can tailor how you pump across three modes — Stimulation, Expression and Mixed — and nine adjustable suction levels, with a vacuum strength of -285 to -300 mmHg. Having separate stimulation and expression modes lets you start gently and then move to a stronger, steadier setting once your milk is flowing. Running at less than 50 dB, it's on the quieter side, which helps if you're pumping in a shared space or during a call.

Battery and everyday use

The M6 charges over USB Type-C in around 2.5 hours (5V / 1A) and offers up to 180 minutes of use per charge, which works out to roughly 5–6 sessions before you need to plug in. A 30-minute auto shut-off means it switches itself off if a session runs long. The collection cup holds up to about 180 ml (6.09 oz), with the manufacturer recommending you fill to no more than around 150 ml (5.07 oz) to keep things running smoothly. At about 287 g (10.12 oz), it's light enough to wear without weighing you down.

If you steam sterilise, dry or hot-air dry the parts, keep the temperature within 100°C / 212°F where possible and never exceed 110°C / 230°F — excessive heat can deform the milk collector or flange and reduce suction.
