Duckbill valves are one of the hardest-working components in a wearable pump. Made from soft, flexible silicone, each valve opens and closes to help regulate airflow and collect milk during a session. Because they flex with every cycle, and because regular washing and sterilising gradually cause silicone to stretch and soften, they're considered a wear part rather than something that lasts the life of the pump.
