Medela Swing Maxi Flex Double Breast Pump

The Medela Swing Maxi Flex Double Electric Breast Pump is a compact, mains- or battery-powered double electric pump designed to slot into a busy routine — whether you're expressing at home, keeping up a supply while back at work, or building in a bit of flexibility around feeds. Because it's a double pump, you can express from both sides at once, which cuts down the time you spend actively pumping in each session.

This redesigned Swing Maxi carries over Medela's Flex technology and adds a built-in rechargeable battery, so you're not tied to a plug point, along with a quieter motor and simple, icon-led controls. It's a traditional flanged electric setup, which means you can see the milk flow and work with Medela's wider PersonalFit Flex range as your needs change.

Comfort-focused fit with two shield sizes

Fit is one of the biggest factors in a comfortable, effective pumping session, and this pump comes with the PersonalFit Flex breast shield in both 21 mm and 24 mm sizes so you can find the one that sits best for you. The shield has a 105° opening angle, a soft rim and an oval shape, and Medela reports it's designed for increased comfort and up to 11% more milk. Having two sizes included from the start means you're not immediately hunting for a better fit.

Built for daily mobility

The built-in rechargeable battery gives you up to 6 pumping sessions on a single full charge, and it recharges through a USB-C port for faster charging than the older micro-USB design — useful if you're pumping away from home or working around load-shedding. The interface keeps things simple with four buttons, clear icons and nine pre-programmed settings, so you can dial in your Maximum Comfort Vacuum level without a fuss. At its maximum vacuum level it runs at only 45 dB, noticeably quieter than the previous generation.

How it Works

• Double pumping: Expressing from both breasts at the same time is designed to collect up to 18% more milk in less time than single pumping.
• 2-Phase Expression: The pump moves between a faster stimulation phase and a slower expression phase, designed to mimic a baby's natural sucking rhythm.
• Closed system: A closed system helps prevent breast milk from overflowing into the tubing and pump mechanism, which helps keep your expressed milk clean and protects the pump's components.

Easy to assemble and clean

With only a few parts, the pump is straightforward to take apart, wash and put back together — which matters when cleaning is a task you'll repeat several times a day. It comes with everything you need to start double pumping straight out of the box, including both shield sizes, connectors, two 150 ml bottles with lids and stands, and the USB charging cable and adapter.
