The Maxi-Cosi Pearl 360 Pro is an i-Size (R129/03) toddler car seat designed to carry your child from 3 months up to approximately 4 years — or from birth when paired with the newborn inlay (sold separately). Part of the 360 Pro Family range, it can be used rearward-facing (recommended until at least 15 months and usable up to 4 years) and forward-facing up to 4 years, covering the toddler stage in a single seat that suits a child from 61–105 cm and 0–17 kg.
Where the Pearl 360 Pro stands out is in the everyday handling. Used with the rotating FamilyFix 360 Pro slide-out base (sold separately), it offers 360° rotation and SlideTech™ — a sliding function that lets the seat move toward the door so you can lift your toddler in and out without twisting into the car. It's worth knowing upfront that this seat installs via the ISOFIX base only (not with a vehicle seatbelt), so the FamilyFix 360 Pro base is required to use it.
How the rotation and SlideTech™ work
- One-hand FlexiSpin rotation: With the base fitted, you can spin the seat toward you to buckle your child, then turn it back to travel — in any position, including fully upright or fully reclined.
- SlideTech™ sliding: The base stays fixed in the car while the seat portion physically slides out toward the door. You rotate the seat 90° to face the door and pull it toward you — no extra button to press. It's there when you want it, not something you have to use every time.
- Back-friendly by design: Because you don't have to bend into the car to fasten a heavy toddler, the 360 Pro Family carries AGR certification (Aktion Gesunder Rücken, a German association of back-health professionals) for a more ergonomic, back-friendly installation for the parent.
Comfort for awake or sleeping toddlers
Five recline positions let you set the angle that suits your child, whether they're playing or dozing, and the headrest adjusts through nine positions to grow with them. An elevated seating position gives a better view out of the window, while ClimaFlow panels help air circulate to keep things cooler on longer drives. The easy-in harness helps you get your toddler fastened with minimum fuss.
Safety features
Built to the i-Size R129/03 standard, the Pearl 360 Pro has integrated G-CELL Side Impact Protection — an always-active system engineered to spread side-impact forces across the seat structure and away from your child, which the manufacturer notes is designed to help reduce injury around the head, neck and shoulders. Patented AirProtect® technology adds extra protection around the child's head. When used with the FamilyFix 360 Pro base (sold separately), integrated ISOFIX connectors lock the base into the car, visual indicators confirm correct installation, and an anti-misuse rotation lock helps keep your child travelling rear-facing from 3 months up to approximately 4 years.
Fabrics and care
The cover is made from soft, 100% recycled polyester — each Pearl 360 Pro's fabric uses the equivalent of 41 recycled 500 ml rPET bottles. The breathable, ultra-resistant knit is produced as an EcoCare fabric, made without hazardous chemicals. To clean, wipe the cover down with a damp cloth or machine wash it at up to 30°C.
Best For
The Maxi-Cosi Pearl 360 Pro is a good option for parents who:
- Want one seat to cover the toddler years from around 3 months (or birth with the inlay) up to approximately 4 years
- Value being able to rotate and slide the seat toward the door to save their back when lifting a growing toddler
- Are prepared to pair it with the FamilyFix 360 Pro base for ISOFIX installation
- Prefer to keep their child rear-facing for as long as the seat allows
It may not be the right fit if you:
- Need a seat that installs directly with a vehicle seatbelt (this seat is base-and-ISOFIX only)
- Are looking for an all-in-one seat that continues well beyond 4 years / 105 cm
