The Maxi-Cosi Leona² & Pebble S Travel System is a complete 3-in-1 setup that links a compact city stroller, an i-Size infant car seat and an ISOFIX base into one coordinated system — so you can move your baby between the car and the pavement with less lifting and fuss. In the box you get the Leona² stroller, the Pebble S car seat, the FamilyFix S base and the adapters needed to connect them, giving you a walking mode and a car mode that work together from your first trip home.
It's built around real city life: a stroller small enough to fold into tight spaces, a lightweight infant carrier that clicks onto its base, and a base that supports extended rearward-facing travel as your child grows. Each part keeps its own age, weight and use limits, so it's worth knowing how the three pieces work together before you set out.
The Leona² stroller
The Leona² is an ultra-compact stroller designed for urban use, weighing 8.84 kg and folding one-handed into a self-standing, city-friendly package that folds both ways with the seat still attached. The reversible seat unit lets baby face you or the world, adjusts through 3 recline positions to a lie-flat setting, and is usable from birth up to 4 years (0–22 kg). Comfort comes from a double-padded seat, an adjustable backrest and leg rest, and 4-wheel suspension riding on puncture-proof wheels. The extendable UPF 50+ canopy includes a see-through ventilation window and a sun visor — useful in strong South African sun — while a 5-point harness with a magnetic buckle and easy-in design keeps your child secure. You also get a shopping basket (rated to 8 kg), a parent pocket, a pivotable bumper bar and a dirt-free brake pedal.
The Pebble S infant car seat
The Pebble S is a lightweight infant car seat at just 3.2 kg, made for babies from 40–80 cm (birth to approximately 15 months, 0–13 kg), including preemies. It is i-Size compliant to R129/03 and carries integrated G-CELL Side Impact Protection. Inside, a soft, padded baby-hugg inlay with a removable bottom cushion and integrated head pillow keeps your little one snug, and an integrated sun canopy shades them on the move. It can be installed using the FamilyFix S ISOFIX base or with a vehicle seatbelt.
The FamilyFix S base
The FamilyFix S is the dedicated ISOFIX base for the Pebble S and Pearl S car seats, supporting children from birth up to 4 years (40–105 cm, 0–18 kg). It allows extended rearward-facing travel — the position Maxi-Cosi recommends — and meets the latest i-Size (R129/03) standard. Forward-facing travel is possible from 15 months if you prefer.
How it works
- Click & Go attachment: The Pebble S clicks onto the FamilyFix S base, giving you a quick, secure connection when moving between car and stroller.
- Visual install feedback: Clear visual indicators on the base confirm the seat is fitted correctly, and an ergonomic release button makes removal straightforward.
- Reversible, adjustable stroller seat: The seat lifts off and turns to face you or the world, and reclines fully to lie-flat for a newborn, then sits more upright as your child grows.
- Eco Care fabrics: Covers are made with soft, 100% recycled fabric spun from re-used plastic bottles, produced without hazardous chemicals, and the stroller cover is removable and washable.
Best For
The Maxi-Cosi Leona² & Pebble S Travel System is a great option for parents who:
- Want one coordinated system that moves a baby between car and stroller with minimal transfers
- Live with city routes and tight spaces and need a compact, self-standing, one-hand fold
- Value extended rearward-facing travel and an i-Size car seat with a dedicated ISOFIX base
- Want a stroller that lasts from birth up to 4 years with a reversible, lie-flat seat
It may not be the best fit if you:
- Mostly tackle rough gravel or off-road terrain rather than pavements and malls
- Already own a compatible car seat or base and only need a stroller on its own
Disclaimer
An infant car seat is designed for travel, not for routine sleep. If your baby falls asleep in the Pebble S or the stroller, current safe-sleep guidance supports moving them to a firm, flat sleep surface as soon as it's safe and practical. A car seat clicking onto the frame confirms the interaction only — always check the visual indicators and follow the installation instructions supplied with each component. Vehicle fit should be confirmed separately against your own car.
