It stays fitted in your car so you can click the compatible seat on and off between trips, giving you a consistent, feedback-guided setup rather than threading a seat belt each time. The FamilyFix S is designed to support your child from birth up to 4 years, in the recommended rearward-facing position, or forward-facing if you prefer once they're old enough. It's built to the R129/03 i-Size standard and uses ISOFIX connectors plus a floor support leg, with visual indicators that confirm each connection point is engaged. It carries an occupant range of 0–18 kg and 40–105 cm (roughly 0–4 years), and the base itself weighs 6.6 kg.

How it works

  • Click & Go attachment: The Click & Go mechanism is designed to let you attach a compatible car seat to the base quickly, with a clear clicking sound as audible confirmation.
  • Visual installation feedback: Green indicators show at the two ISOFIX connection points in the car and at the floor support leg when the base is correctly installed, and a green indicator confirms the seat is locked onto the base.
  • Floor support leg: The support leg braces the base against the vehicle floor as part of the i-Size installation, with its own indicator to confirm it's set.
  • Anti-rebound bar: The base includes an anti-rebound bar that you assemble before first use by sliding its pins into the openings on top of the base (see the user manual for the exact steps).
  • Two-sided release: The ergonomic release button is designed to be easy to reach from either side of the base.

Good to know

The FamilyFix S is a fixed base and does not rotate. Always check that all indicators show green — at both ISOFIX connections, the support leg, and the seat-to-base connection — before every trip, and follow both the base's user manual and your vehicle handbook for installation. Confirm your vehicle and seating position are suitable for ISOFIX installation with a support leg.
