The Maxi-Cosi CabrioFix i-Size Infant Car Seat is a rear-facing infant carrier designed to take your baby from birth to around 12 months of age. It's an i-Size (R129) compliant car seat that installs either with a compatible ISOFIX base for click-and-go setup, or with your car's seat belt when there's no ISOFIX in your vehicle — and it lifts straight out to become part of a Maxi-Cosi travel system. The CabrioFix i-Size is designed for babies from birth up to 75 cm (approximately 12 months), with a stated weight range up to 12 kg and travel in the rearward-facing position throughout. A comfortably padded seat and an included Baby Hugg inlay add extra support for newborns; the inlay is typically outgrown once your baby is taller than around 60 cm, at which point you can remove it and continue using the seat without it. The headrest is shaped to cradle baby's head, and the height of the 3-point safety harness adjusts from the back of the seat so you can keep the fit right as your baby grows.

Two installation options

You have flexibility in how you fit it. Combined with a compatible Maxi-Cosi ISOFIX base, the seat clicks onto the base and lifts off again for genuinely quick transfers. If your car doesn't have ISOFIX anchor points, you can install the CabrioFix i-Size using the car's seat belt instead. Whichever method you use, follow the instructions in the user manual and on the seat itself carefully — correct installation is what makes the restraint do its job.
