The Grow Baby Pastel Baby Gym is a wooden play gym that gives your little one a soft, engaging spot for supervised awake time from birth. Designed to sit over baby during floor play, it brings hanging objects into view and reach, inviting your baby to see, reach and grasp as they begin to explore the world around them. It's a calm, home-friendly piece that suits a nursery or play space without the bright plastic and batteries of many activity gyms.

Suitable from birth (0+), the gym is crafted from birchwood and finished with non-toxic, water-based paints and stains. It stands 55 cm high and 66 cm long, and arrives flat packed for you to assemble at home. This wooden baby gym is available in pink, blue, spearmint or white, so you can match it to your nursery.

How it supports play

During tummy time and back-lying play, an overhead gym gives your baby something to focus on and work towards. As they watch, kick, reach and grasp for the objects within their view, the gym offers a natural opportunity to practise hand-eye coordination and reaching. Tolerance and ability vary from baby to baby, so there's no need to rush — short, supervised sessions are a lovely way to introduce it.

Thoughtfully made

Grow Baby is a proudly South African brand, and this gym is made in Cape Town from sustainably sourced wood and shipped in recycled packaging. The wooden frame carries a warm, considered look that settles easily into a home rather than shouting over it. To keep it looking its best, simply wipe clean with a damp cloth.

Best For

The Grow Baby Pastel Baby Gym is a great option for parents who:

  • Want a wooden play gym for supervised floor play from birth
  • Prefer a calm, neutral design that fits a nursery aesthetic
  • Like the idea of locally made toys from sustainably sourced timber

It may not be the best fit if you:

  • Would rather have a fully assembled product, as this gym is flat packed and needs assembling
  • Are looking for a gym with lights, sounds or a padded mat included

    • Disclaimer

Do not leave your child unattended — parental supervision is strongly advised during play. Do not immerse the gym in water, as this will cause the wood to expand; wipe clean with a damp cloth only. The gym is available in pink, blue, spearmint or white; if you have a colour preference, please add it to your order notes and we'll supply what's available.
