The FRIGG Rope Silicone Pacifier is a design-led dummy from the Danish brand FRIGG, made with a soft medical-grade silicone teat and a rope-inspired shield and handle. It offers non-nutritive sucking — sucking for comfort rather than milk — during settling, quiet moments and sleep time, and comes in two sizes so you can match the teat to your baby's stage.

The name comes from the rope motif that runs around the shield and forms the thicker handle, a nod to the bond between parent and baby. A round teat in two sizes

FRIGG Rope uses a round (cherry-style) teat with a fuller rounded tip and a narrower neck, which is orientation-neutral — so it can go in either way without needing to be turned a particular direction. It's made from a soft SilkySoft silicone nipple, and you choose the size to suit your baby:

• Size 1 — 27 mm teat, recommended for ages 0–6 months.
• Size 2 — 30 mm teat, recommended for ages 6–18 months.

Baby acceptance is always individual, and the stated age range guides the teat and shield proportions rather than promising a particular latch or a seamless move between breast and dummy.

Materials and construction

The nipple is medical-grade silicone, which is clear, shape-stable and odour-resistant, while the shield is made from polypropylene (PP). It's free from BPA, PVC and phthalates, and being silicone rather than latex, it's a useful option for families managing a latex allergy. FRIGG assembles each dummy with a Click-lock system, where the base and handle connect with an audible 'click' to confirm the parts are secured together. It's designed and manufactured in Denmark and tested to the EN1400 + A2 safety standard.

How to care for it

Follow FRIGG's care instructions to keep the dummy hygienic and to protect the silicone:

1. Place the pacifier in a bowl and pour over boiling water.
2. Let it soak for 3–5 minutes — do not submerge for longer than 5 minutes.
3. Remove and place on a flat surface to air dry.

Do not use sterilisers, microwaves or dishwashers. Always check the dummy before each use and discard it at the first sign of damage or wear. For hygiene and safety, replace it after 1–2 months of consistent use.
