The ergoPouch Sleep Onesie 1.0 TOG in Oatmeal Marle is a wearable sleep garment designed as a blanket substitute for little ones who don't like the restriction of a sleeping bag, or who are moving on from one. If your infant or toddler kicks off covers, resists being zipped into a sleep sack, or you're blanket-training a preschooler making the move to a big bed, this onesie gives them the freedom to move while keeping their arms and legs covered.
It's designed to be worn on its own for sleep, or with a layer underneath for extra warmth and comfort. The 1.0 TOG rating is a lighter weight suited to room temperatures of around 20–24°C, and it forms part of ergoPouch's TOG-rated sleepwear system that helps you choose by stage and room temperature rather than season alone.
Made with sensitive skin in mind
The body and lining are made from a blend of 55% organic cotton, 40% bamboo viscose and 5% elastane, with sleeves of 95% organic cotton and 5% elastane for a little stretch and movement. The organic cotton is Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) certified and described as non-toxic and gentle on irritable skin, and all ergoPouch fabrics are dyed with non-toxic water-based dyes. The Sleep Onesie has also been reviewed by the Eczema Association of Australasia (EAA) as a skin-friendly product, which is worth knowing if your little one is prone to irritation.
A loose, move-friendly fit
Unlike a swaddle or fitted sleep sack, this garment is meant to be loose fitting for sleep, so your child can move, roll and settle freely. It can be worn over pyjamas when you'd like an extra layer, giving you a simple way to adjust warmth as the room changes.
Best For
The ergoPouch Sleep Onesie 1.0 TOG is a great option for parents who:
- Have an infant or toddler who doesn't like the restriction of a sleeping bag
- Are blanket-training a preschooler who is transitioning to a big bed
- Want a lighter-weight sleep garment for rooms sitting around 20–24°C
- Are looking for GOTS-certified organic cotton and a garment reviewed as skin-friendly for sensitive or eczema-prone skin
Care
- Gentle cold machine wash in a mild detergent
- Do not soak or bleach
- Tumble dry low
- Warm iron if required
- Do not dry clean
Cared for properly, the onesie is made to last several years and can be used for more than one child. A gentle fluff up in the dryer on a low setting helps maintain the fibre's loft, and ergoPouch note that their TOG ratings don't fade over time.
