Returns Made Easy

The ergoPouch Skye Junior Sideguard is a wooden bed rail that converts your ellska Skye Cot from a baby cot into a toddler bed — a familiar sleep space your little one can grow into. When your mini is ready to move on from the cot, from around 2 years, the Junior Sideguard replaces one side of the cot to create an open, easy-to-access toddler bed while keeping a raised edge along the open side.

Made from FSC-Certified Beechwood timber finished with a clear, non-toxic lacquer, the Sideguard is designed to prevent your toddler from falling out of bed as they practise staying in one place. It's an ideal in-between step between the cot and a full-size bed, so the transition feels gradual rather than sudden.

A gentle step from cot to toddler bed

Moving out of the cot is a big change, and this Sideguard is built to make it a smaller one. Because it works with the ellska Skye Cot you already have, your child stays in the same bed and the same spot in the room — just with one side opened up so they can climb in and out on their own. The raised guard runs along that open side to give both of you a little more peace of mind while they get used to their new set-up.

The Sideguard is crafted from FSC-Certified Beechwood, a responsibly sourced hardwood, and sealed with a clear non-toxic lacquer that protects the natural timber. It measures 121.6 cm long and 29.6 cm wide, with a 5.8 cm depth, and weighs just 1.4 kg, so it's easy to handle during the conversion.

Keeping it looking its best

To care for the timber, simply wipe it clean with a damp cloth, and use a little gentle soap in warm water for any stubborn marks. Avoid harsh cleaning products, chemicals and hard-bristle brushes, as these can damage the natural wood surface and its protective top coat. A regular light vacuum helps keep dust from settling.
