The Dreambaby Discovery is an adjustable, hardware-mounted safety gate built around three lockable panels, letting you shape a barrier to suit awkward spaces rather than a single fixed opening. Because the panels can be mounted at an angle, it's designed to fit straight, angled, wide or irregular openings and landings — the kind of tricky spots, like an angled stairway or a wide hallway, where a standard gate simply won't sit right.

It fits openings ranging from 74.5cm (29in) up to 1.95m (76.5in) wide and stands 74cm (29in) tall, so it covers everything from a normal doorway to an extra-wide gap. The configurable three-panel setup also lets you wrap it around furniture, so it can create a defined barrier around a TV stand, fireplace or similar feature, and it works equally well as a sturdy pet gate for dogs and other animals.

A bi-directional swinging door means you can pass through from either side, and the stay-open feature lets you leave the door open so you can move freely between rooms without opening and closing it every time — genuinely useful in a busy home where you're carrying washing, a baby or a cup of tea. For use at the top of stairs, an optional one-way stopper can be set so the door only swings in a safe direction, and the gate is designed to help create safer landing space at the top and bottom of a staircase.
