The Dreambaby Ava 27cm Gate Extension in charcoal is an add-on piece for the Dreambaby Ava safety gate, designed to widen it for openings that are too broad for the standard gate on its own. If you've measured a doorway, hallway or stair opening and found it falls outside the standard gate's range, an extension like this closes the gap so your Ava gate fits the space you actually need to block off.

This 27cm extension attaches to the gate before you install it, letting you keep a barrier between your child and the parts of the home you'd rather they didn't reach. It's part of a set of extension sizes — 9cm, 18cm and 27cm — so you can combine the right pieces to suit your opening. By using the correct extensions, an Ava gate can be widened up to 1.35 metres.

How it fits your Ava gate

The extension is compatible with Dreambaby Ava standard height gates. You can add up to two extensions per gate, with a maximum of one on each side, so both sides can be built out evenly if your opening calls for it. Because the Ava is pressure mounted, there's no drilling involved — the extension comes with four mounting cups and strong double-sided tape to hold the gate securely against the wall or frame.
