If there’s a defect or fault, though, it’s always covered as a warranty claim.

If the item is still unopened, you can return it within 30 days of receiving it. Just request a return from your account or through our chat, and we’ll handle the rest.

Returns are always free within 7 days. After that, if you’re returning it because you’ve changed your mind, you may need to cover the return cost. Goes great with ...

  • Whole-family use: Comes with both an adult mask and a children's mask, suitable for children from 2 years of age and adults.
  • Compressed-air technology: Produces a fine aerosol with a particle size (MMAD) of 4.12 microns to carry medication into the airways.
  • Shorter sessions: A nebulisation performance of approximately 0.25 ml/min helps keep inhalation time brief.
  • Compact and portable: Weighs around 176 g and includes a storage bag, so it's easy to keep at home or pack for travel.
  • Quiet in use: Operates at a maximum sound pressure of 45 dBA.
  • Easy to clean: Removable components can be disinfected for hygienic use between treatments.
  • Mains powered: Runs via the supplied USB cable and 2 Amp adaptor; it must be plugged into mains power and is not rechargeable.
  • Backed and approved: Approved as a medical device through SAHPRA in South Africa and covered by a 5-year limited warranty.

The Beurer IH 58 Compressed Air Nebuliser is a compact home nebuliser that turns prescribed liquid medication into a fine aerosol mist you breathe in through a mouthpiece or mask. It uses compressor (compressed-air) technology to help deliver medication to the upper and lower airways, and comes with both an adult mask and a children's mask, so it can be used by children from 2 years of age as well as adults. If you're looking for a family-friendly compressor nebuliser to use as part of a prescribed treatment plan for respiratory conditions such as asthma, this is one to consider.

At approximately 176 g and supplied with its own storage bag, the IH 58 is easy to keep on hand at home or pack for travel. It runs quietly (max. 45 dBA) and its removable components can be disinfected, which keeps cleaning between treatments straightforward. It's approved as a medical device in Europe and through SAHPRA in South Africa, and carries a 5-year limited warranty.

How it Works

  • Compressed-air technology: An internal compressor pushes air through the atomiser to break the liquid medication into a fine mist you can inhale.
  • Fine particle size: The aerosol has a mass median aerodynamic diameter (MMAD) of 4.12 microns, designed to carry the active ingredients into the airways.
  • Shorter inhalation time: A nebulisation performance of approximately 0.25 ml/min helps keep treatment sessions brief.
  • Mouthpiece or mask: The mouthpiece is the most effective way to inhale; a mask is recommended when a mouthpiece isn't yet possible, such as for younger children.

Best For

The Beurer IH 58 Compressed Air Nebuliser is a good option for parents who:

  • Need a device to deliver medication prescribed by a doctor for respiratory conditions such as asthma
  • Want one nebuliser that suits both children (from 2 years) and adults
  • Prefer a robust, mains-powered compressor unit that's still compact enough to travel with

It may not be the best fit if you:

  • Need a cordless, rechargeable unit — the IH 58 is mains operated via USB cable and is not rechargeable
  • Want a device rated for back-to-back continuous use (it needs a rest between sessions)

Good to Know

  • Filling volume: The atomiser holds a minimum of 2 ml and a maximum of 6 ml of medication.
  • Duty cycle: It isn't suitable for continuous operation — after 30 minutes of use it must be switched off for 30 minutes.
  • Power: It is mains operated via the supplied USB cable and 2 Amp adaptor and must be connected to mains power to run.

Pandylane Pro Tip: Use the supplied USB cable together with the included 2 Amp mains adaptor — most everyday adaptors only supply 1 Amp, and the device needs a 2 Amp (2000 mA) supply to function optimally. If you're treating a very young child, a baby or paediatric mask (for ages 0–3) can be used with the IH 58 in addition to the adult and children's masks it comes with.

Disclaimer

This nebuliser is a medical device that delivers medication — it does not determine which medicine, dose or schedule is appropriate. Always follow your doctor's instructions on the type of medication, dosage, and the frequency and duration of inhalation, and only use medication prescribed or recommended by your doctor or pharmacist. It is an inhalation device for atomising liquid medication; essential oils, cough syrups, gargling solutions and rubs or steam-bath drops are unsuitable for use in a nebuliser and can impair the device, and for people with a hypersensitive bronchial system medications containing essential oils may in certain conditions trigger an acute bronchospasm — speak to your doctor or pharmacist about this. For the most effective treatment, sit upright and relaxed and hold the atomiser vertically during use.
