A note on the gel pads

The device uses self-adhesive gel pads that need to be replaced regularly. Beurer specifies replacing the electrodes after a maximum of 20 uses, because worn or unevenly adhesive pads no longer spread the current evenly and can lead to skin injuries. If a pad stops sticking, wipe its adhesive surface with a damp, lint-free cloth and let it air dry before reattaching; cleaning the skin first (and avoiding creams or oils, which reduce adhesion) also helps.
